Rooms not soundproofed, but otherwise great!
Improvement needed: rooms need sound proofing! You can hear doors opening and shutting. We stayed during coronavirus outbreak, so there was only one or two people on our floor, but we could hear the doors. I can't imagine what the noise would be like if this hotel were at full capacity. Apart from that, everything else was great: very comfortable beds and pillows, really clean, great ambiance, friendly staff.

Good 6.0
Quiet hotel that is decorated with a French twist. Stay was okay. The pool wasn't as clean as we thought so we didn't go for a dip. Otherwise, a quiet stay.

Beautiful hotel
The hotel is beautiful, has a homely charm and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious and very well distributed. I can only highlight something negative and its location is quite far from the center and tourist attractions, you have to ask for a taxi because the subway is also very far away.

Solo Canadian In Asia
Initially only planned on staying a few days but caught a cold and decided after traveling for almost 6 weeks in Asia it was time 4 a little R & R so have been at Baan Oliver for approximately 10 days now and using it as my “home away from home”. Beautiful hotel with excellent staff...I loved it here!

Love it!!
The service was great. Eventhough the main street was under construction, the restaurant in thr hotel was great. Good food, delicious and price was reasonable.

Disappointed 3 star hotel at best
I went there with high hopes after reading good reviews ,but i was sadly disappointed , the staff are great the internet and aircon where good ,the pool and pool area very nice, to be fair the room i booked had filthy brown marks on the wall near the bed > i would not like to say what it looked like< but they upgraded me to a sweet which at first site looked amazing 2 large rooms with a spar, but the renovation work is the worst i have ever seen , the paint is all over the place gaps in the plaster everywhere , and the lack of maintenance is clear the patch work near the windows in the kitchen area is a joke, the bracket that holds the hose in the toilet is falling off, the hooks to hold your towels in the shower have been pulled off the wall ,when showering you are standing in 4 inches of water and the ledge outside the shower window is full of green slime and the spar does not work, its a shame because the money spent on decorations in the hall ways and rooms are great, in 12 months time this place will be a dump, it also has very young Thai boys and girls staying and i mean young also 3 bus loads of noisy Chinese arrived late one night ,no sleep. Also the pillows are very high i could not sleep Read less Date of stay: February 2019

Poor 2.0
It was awful!
I am a Gold Member of hotels.com and have never experienced anything like this. I stayed there in January 2019 for business because my appointment was nearby. The room was ok but the staff is not trained or ready for foreign guests. The first evening, I ordered food at 7:45pm and when I wanted to order more at 8:15pm, the kitchen was closed even the cook was sitting around doing nothing. The receptionist sold me some nuts from the snack bar. The next evening, I ordered at 7pm and when I ordered more at 7:45pm the receptionist who was the only one speaking English gave me a hard time because it was last order at 7:45pm. I literally had to fight for my order to get it. Food at the breakfast buffet was cold and coffee was terrible. When I asked to brew fresh coffee, they warmed it up in the microwave. Unbelievable! The staff acted and responded niceky but were not trained to service customers. The receptionist was more in charge to keep the schedule of employees than feeling the hotel guests comfortable. My suggestion: rather book somewhere else and sacrifice the time in traffic. Remove this hotel from the hotels.com platform.
