Colony One at Sea Mountain resort is one of the most serene resorts on the Big Island. Perfect for those who want to get the true Hawaiian experience. Colony One at Sea Mountain Condos are located on the South end of the Big Island only 60 minutes from Hilo and 80 minutes from Kona and 25 minutes from Volcano National Park. The two closest towns are Na’alehu (7 miles South) and Pahala (5 miles North). Walk to the world famous Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, and swim with the green sea turtles which bask on the beach all day long. All short drives from the resort: Green Sands Beach, South Point Cliffs, Kilauea Volcano, Ka’u Coffee Mills, and so much more. Greens Sands Beach is the only natural beach in the world that encompasses beautiful green sand made out of olivine crystals. South Point cliffs are the most southern point in the United States and are world renowned for its amazing views and cliff jumping excitement. In the other direction, Kilauea constantly spews out lava in the Volcano National Park for all to see year round. The Ka’u Coffee Mill is famous world round for it’s superior unique coffee taste- see the farm itself and take a tour of the beautiful uplands of the Ka’u district. Punalu’u Bake Shop located in Na’alehu features freshly made Sweet Bread which now ships globally, and can be sampled and enjoyed in your lunch sandwich while lounging in the gorgeously maintained grounds and gardens. Ka’u has some of the most isolated and untouched landscapes in all of Hawaii. The swimming water, fresh and salt, is warm and crystal clear, perfect for rejuvenating the body and soul. The island itself is the only place in the world that contains all 7 geographic climates. Explore icy tundras in the winder, lush green rainforests, and of course the beautiful relaxing beaches throughout the district and island.

Little bit of Heaven
This property is right next to the pool. It was clean and had everything I needed like shampoo and towels. The only thing Indid not like was that curtains did not fit the windows well and did not block the morning light. Julie the manager was quick to reply, help, and communicate. I recommend this place. My experience there was relaxing and enjoyable.

Last few days of our Hawaiian get away
Clean, comfortable space close to a great beach that didn't require a drive! We were glad for the short walk to the water. We were sorry that the grill wasn't available at the site but the property management let us know before they finalized the booking that the area was being renovated. A bit remote from facilities so bring what you need before you get there. Great for bird viewing.

Clean and comfortable
This condo has all the basics. The appliances are old but functional and the kitchen utensils have seen better days. If you’re not planning to cook much, this isn’t a worry. The bed was comfortable and the condo was squeaky clean. The complex is gorgeous and well kept.

Beautiful view of black sand turtle beach on patio. This unit is Across from pool and BBQ, but things shut down at 8pm. Quiet most of the day. Cozy unit for 2. Nice shower and full kitchen. Comfy bed. Easy walk to beach.

Our stay was exactly what I expected! I'd definitely return it's a beautiful property and the studio had all the amenities I expected. The only thing I'd change is a more solid bed and not so squeaky. I'll definitely return.

Great Location!
We really enjoyed our stay, up until the work began on remodeling the pool area, which we were warned about well in advance. Once the work began, we no longer had access to the ice machine or the bbq grills. Our accommodations were very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We will go back someday and look forward to the upgraded pool area once completed.

Lovely Stay in Pahala
