Room was not ready in time. We did not get checked in until after 5pm. The front desk was unorganized and at one point advised my husband to get a refund and stay elsewhere simply because our room was not ready.

Check in was extremely difficult. No valet. No bag person by the door. Called the front desk 7-8 times, nobody answered. Finally parked in the middle of the street in downtown Miami and found the entrance (not prominently displayed). Among other issues, air conditioner stopped in the middle of the night, no towels at the pool, no cup/glass in the bathroom, “sofa bed” was just a sofa. Very disappointing experience

Check in is a pain
The check in is a disaster. Before arrival I was sent a survey to ask what I needed. I replied that I needed parking. They did nothing with that information. The parking garage entrance is on the opposite side of the building, so you have to enter from a different block. That should be communicated. No one answered any phones after several calls but then sent a text saying sorry I missed your call. That is when I replied with my parking question. Then they sent a link with long instructions about where to park but the guard wouldn’t answer the phone to let me into the garage. It took me over 20 minutes just to get into temporary parking. Then the check in kiosk that they tell you to use doesn’t work. Then you have to go back and move your car to permanent parking. Then you have to register your car online. This whole process took me one entire hour. After traveling to Miami, no one wants to waste an hour navigating all of this. Once I was in it was fine. The unit shows some wear and tear but it was comfortable.
