  • 6.0.Good

The views at the rooftop was probably the only thing that made it a somewhat positive one-night stay. We had a late check-in, therefore, a later swim and found that the pool wasn't as clean as it should have been. As I've read about prior reviews of the hotel, I can agree that it does indeed have a funny (wet carpet) smell. Everything else was mediocre and the majority of staff were pretty disappointing to deal with. A few of the staff at reception/security (gate-keeper) need an attitude adjustment and clearly need more training on how to properly treat their guests. I'm also sad to say that in fact the higher management were unfriendly unhelpful and for a lack of a better word, useless! We had very little understanding and flexibility around the situation regarding our room/stay and a little too much trying hard to be professional which actually came across pretty unprofessional. We felt like it wasn't about us guests at all and by the time we felt that some damage control was attempted, it was a little too late. Funnily enough, we found some of the house-keepers and bellboys warm and pleasant to deal with, keep it up! Personally I will not stay there again. Its too pricey for what was given/shown and its definitely something that would be considered 3 star or less. Probably okay for a one-night stay, I'd suggest to be prepared for the worst when coming across expectations with staff, amenities, unless you're one of the lucky ones and they've taken advice of their reviewers.

Best view and good staff. Apart from a struggling AC to keep the room cool all other requirements are up to expectations. Thanks

We booked the room for 3 adults, when we checked in, the setting in the room was for 2 adults like 2 towels, 2 cups and the other bed wasn't made so rang the reception from the room about it and they said they going to set it up. We had to go out and personally went to the reception and told them again and they said it will be done. Anyway we came back around 2am to sleep and nothing was done in the room even the bed wasn't made, so had to call the reception again and was very unhappy. they came and made the bed at 2.30am and than we went to sleep. And we were suppose to get welcoming drink when we arrive which never happened. So we were not happy with the service at all

We booked 10 nights and only stayed 4. This is not suitable for a family. Apart from the swimming pool there is nothing. Due to the cyclone we were not able to access the pool the air conditioning worked on and off. Staff were unhelpful in terms of suggestions on activities not good for kids. You don’t go paying for accomodation to not be able to use the only one feature they have which is the pool and then have no working air conditioning. We seek a refund for the remaining days. Moving to the Radisson was an expensive but worthwhile move. If not for that our experience of Fiji would have been poor.

EXPEDIA GOLD MEMBER REVIEW: I would not stay at this property ever again. Seems like management is non existent at this property at all. Fijian receptionists are next level RUDE!! This was a first for me, usually the Fijian people are lovely, but you could tell that the grumpy ladies at reception do not want to be there. The rooms are furnished on a budget, and are now old, funny that because the property is relatively new. The bed, ROCK HARD. The fold out couch is harder than rock hard. Company rule- no extra pillows max 4 thin pillows per room (sleeps 4). Complimentary water is only given on the day of check in, don’t bother querying this, you’ll get your head bitten off. The phone in our room didn’t work the entire stay, it was just a decoration, seeing that the reception didn’t care. Key cards need to be reactivated every time you leave the property, very inconvenient. Pool is used by the community free of charge, according to those in the pool, so don’t bother booking for the pool unless swimming with locals is something on your bucket list. The cleaners come after 6pm, despite leaving the property at 7am and being out all day. SO SLACK! Therefore we opted not to have the room serviced. Towels are unavailable (they ran out). Basically everything was terrible, worst hotel I’ve been to in all my life. My back is in so much pain as I write this, due to the uncomfortable bed. The property owner needs a good reality check before building another property, don’t waste land!!
