Very clean and efficient
Friendly and efficient, extremely clean and really comfortable for a capsule/hostel type accommodation. We got the room which is spacious by Japanese standards. Lockers are impeccably clean and tidy. The onsen is a lovely option.

Mixed feelings
This is not a typical capsule hotel. It’s a lot more spacious, has big public spaces, has a real nice onsen, and a decent breakfast buffet. It also has free shuttles to/from ski resorts as well as Kutchan JR station. It has Lawson as well as a big grocery store next door, and 4 ramen shops within a 5 minute walk. Overall great place if you’re traveling solo, and one of the actual rooms might work for a couple. Cons: about 15-20 min bus ride to Niseko if you want to be really close to the slopes. There are some inconsiderately loud people and always inappropriately rude/loud/uncivilized Chinese tourists that can be an annoyance in close quarters.

First Cabin was such a great find and I was super glad that I decided to stay in this facility. Upon arrival to the kutchan train station, the shuttle driver was already there and had a big sign indicating he is from First Cabin. He was very kind and helped me with my luggage. It was just a short drive from the train to First Cabin. Check in is still at 5PM but there are coin lockers (100 Yen but refundable) that may be used. The complimentary shuttle was so helpful! I encountered three drivers during my 3 days stay - my favorite was the older gentleman because he would always go inside welcome center or first cabin with his signage (its so helpful especially for non Japanese speakers). The other drivers - especially the younger fat one would just stay inside his shuttle to wait. The space provided for the

The hotel was a unique experience of a small cabin style room with very good cleaning service and extensive free breakfast. The Onsen (natural hot springs) was an added bonus after a day of skiing the nearby Niseko ski area. The shuttle busses were frequent and friendly with shuttles well into the evening for either dinner out in Hirafu or night skiing. Frequent shuttle busses to the train station as well. Max Value grocery store and Lawson convenience stores provided all the food needs and inexpensive beverages.

The property is excellent. The Niseko area is so expensive and this place was affordable with very nice and spacious accommodation. A free shuttle from Kutchan station is provided as well as one to and from Hirafu Welcome Center which is within walking distance of a ski lift and .Base where you can get tickets and rentals. The breakfast was delicious (highly recommend purchasing). Overall a wonderful experience.
