Excellent views
Excellent views from this property of the whole city. Definitely recommend. We have stayed here 2 times now and the location and price are both good

Great location and comfortable room.
Location was great. Easy walk to Launceston (down a steep hill). Great view from front of building. Fergus was helpful and friendly. Rooms were small but comfortable. Breakfast was not a cooked breakfast, but was still good and plenty of it.

I loved Highfield House. The room was beautiful and the view of the city was lovely. It was such a quaint, beautifully styled property.

Wonderful old house, well restored with modern amenities. Friendly host with simple but good breakfast provided. Altogether made for a great stay in Launceston and highly recommended.

Nice historic B&B within easy walk to city.
This was our second stay at this nice old B&B. We had the Arthur Room on the ground floor this time and the room was comfortable and well presented, however, on our first entry the room had a somewhat unpleasant smell (perhaps from a drain?). After opening the windows and door for a short while this disappeared and did not concern us again during the rest of our stay. The morning breakfast was great and the fresh croissants much enjoyed. It's a nice easy walk into the city with lot's of good restaurants, pubs and cafes to be easily found in the area. I'm sure we'll be back.
