Good 6.0
The good things: everything clean, pool was small but more than enough and with nice view, staff were friendly, bed and pillows confortable, location is wonderful if you're open to discover Getsemani, breakfast has the best fruits in the world! The bad things: my husband had to carry the luggage to the 3rd floor, we drank a water bottle from the mini bar without checking the price first and it cost $10 (considering it costs cents in the store, it is insulting), during breakfast there are some things that are buffet and we thought this was all but on our third day we saw some guests making requests (eggs, toasts...) we were not offered this and never knew until we saw other guests requesting (another employee was a lot better about offering options on our consecutive days). Taxis are very cheap to go to and come feom the airport. 11/15 pesos... no need for the hotel to "help" you with ordering one.

Exceptional 10.0
Boutique hotel in great location
As a solo traveler and non-Spanish speaker, I felt very comfortable staying in this hotel. The front door with street access is kept locked at all times. Everyone on staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are only 7 rooms in hotel, which gave it a B&B type vibe. Room was small, but clean and comfortable, and had a safe and minibar. Just a note that it is a bit noisy when people are coming in and out. Full breakfast, with made to order eggs, was served on quaint 4th floor terrace (did not see elevator) which also has a hot tub. The location was perfect-- minutes away from walled city and main square in Getsemani, but yet far enough away from the noise, crowds and craziness. I would stay here again!

Standard Double Room needs more honest advertising
The hotel was nice, the staff were lovely, the room was clean, but it was small (which was fine as the size is advertised) and our biggest gripe was that there was nowhere to store or even hang our clothes - we literally lived out of our suitcases for a week. This was very disappointing and felt closer to a hostel rather than hotel experience. We spoke to them and they were waiting for a decision from a manager which took two days. The answer we eventually got was that if we wanted to move it would cost us more money. We stayed in the room but it did impact the stay a little.

Good 6.0
The place is beautiful. The staff, especially Christian, were wonderful. The room however, while clean, was extremely small, had no windows, shelves or hooks/hangers, and only a few small drawers in which a book would barely fit. Our particular room was on the first floor, and we could hear every lobby conversation, whether it was 0530 in the morning when the staff came in to start preparing for the day, or late at night as people were coming back. Therefore, we doubt we would come back here, even though the place is truly gorgeous, clean, in a great location, has good breakfast, nice rooftop pool/jacuzzi and lovely staff. In short: 10/10 for aesthetics, 2/10 for functionality.

Very good 8.0
Excellent location in Getsemani, which is a lively neighborhood. Loved the rooftop terrace where breakfast is served. Also a nice place to relax in the evening, but BYOB, as it's not a bar. The standard rooms are nicely decorated, but small with no hooks or hangers. The one small pool was nice for cooling off in the afternoon, but the other pool (with jets) needed algaecide, as it was green. Every morning as we were eating breakfast, the maid would come up and sweep the floor and clean around us. She should be instructed to clean before or after breakfast hours, not during.
