Wonderful location. Incredibly well appointed. Wonderful diverse staff. However, it could use a gym.

    Couple stay

We have had more professional check ins Was not informed of breakfast or WiFi code. The doorman was not that friendly - just something I couldn’t put my finger on. No offer if map only dining offers. Saying that the hotel was very nice although no coffee facilities in the room which would be expected in a high cLass hotel. It was mentioned that it was a birthday stay so there was a cake in the room which was a nice touch.

    Amazing hotel one bad room

I asked for a quiet room they put me on first floor where the night deliveries happen outside my window and a conference room just one door down across from me which they spent the night setting up for a meeting. Meaning the guy who checked me in could not be bothered. However the next day they moved me to a suite top floor and very quiet. Fantastic stay but wide awake the night before my board meeting. DO NOT STAY IN 106.

Not what I expected or value for money.

The location is very central and convenient and close to Holborn tube station. I loved the decor and ambiance. At the check-in I was kept waiting longer than I should have. Other guests were offered a coffee/tea while they waited but I wasn't so I asked a member of staff who was serving coffee if I could also please have one. She said she would get one for me but she never came back. The room was small (but that's what I paid for I guess) and there were a number of small things that let it down such as no hooks in the shower room to hang a towel; the light switches for the shower room and toilet were on the wrong side of the door; the TV was so huge that it protruded so far off the wall that it was impossible not to bump into it when walking past; the shower leaked into the bedroom. All small things but when I'm paying GBP450 a night I expect better attention to detail. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful whilst others were not. I came back to the hotel with a friend after a night out at about 1am for a night cap only to find that the hotel bar closes at midnight. Getting a taxi outside the hotel is almost impossible so I'd strongly recommend pre-booking one in advance. Check-out was easy and pleasant. Conclusion: it was nice to experience this hotel but there's better choices in London for similar cost.

Nice Hotel in a Good Convenient Central Location

Very nice hotel in a very convent location in London. Easy walk to lots of sites, theater, museums (including the British Museum) and good restaurants and bars. Also just a 1/4 block from the Holborn Underground Station which is services by the Piccadilly and Central lines. You can take the Piccadilly line directly to and from Heathrow Airport which is very convenient. The rooms were not as “special” as maybe you would expect them to be based on the ratings, but it was comfortable and decent size. The beds were also pretty comfortable. The two restaurants in the hotel are good and they have a really nice cocktail bar. The immediate surrounding couple of blocks are not too special (besides being convenient), but you get beyond that and you get to some great areas to eat, drink and shop. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel if you are get it for a decent price.
