I didn't clearly understand when I booked La Maison des Courtines that was an apartment stay, but it turned out to be just what I needed. It is billed as luxury, which to me conjures up Ritz-Carltons or Four Seasons, and it is not that fancy. But the location in the historic city center is ideal, it was very comfortable and nicely decorated, and had all of the amenities you would want. It was also handy to have the use of a washer and dryer right in the apartment, although they were tricky to use. Be sure to provide your arrival information as soon as you make a reservation so that you can confirm that Clement, the owner, will be able to meet you there. He made some excellent suggestions for dinner - La Table du Square is outstanding - and wine tasting.

Lovely stay - very welcoming and flexible with check in time. Spacious room and quiet location. We were in a top level room which was on the third floor - be aware there is no lift as you would expect staying in a heritage building. Stairs were nice and wide which made it easier to carry luggage.

Great stay within walking distance to downtown!

Nice unit within walking distance to downtown Beaune. We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit which was nice and spacious for our family. They left us some champagne as well which was a nice touch. Only negative and this is a very small one - is that it was a little difficult to find and figure out how to get into the building.

Nice Apartment for Couples

Nice apartment in a good location. Plenty of space. Clément the property manager was excellent and very helpful. Nicely appointed rooms in a old hotel particulier close to the heart of Beaune. Excellent communication from the hotel management on every aspect of our stay. No elevator.

Charming, historic and convenient!

We were absolutely thrilled with our recent stay at the Maison des Courtines. It is a beautiful property, the rooms are spacious and very well laid out, we really appreciated the air conditioning especially during a punishing heat wave. Check-in was friendly and straightforward, then you are left to your own devices. The hotel provided us with a complimentary bottle of crémant de Bourgogne which was a lovely extra. The property is very quiet, location is ideal. We will return for sure.

Clement gave us a warm welcome and helped us find several delicious vegetarian restaurants. He had on hand recommendations for things to do had we been available to stay longer. Walking the old part of town is very easy and comfortable, even at night. The apartment was clean and so spacious with a sleeping area, living area, kitchen, and separate toilet and shower room. We were able to wash some clothes and have a night dinner in the apartment one evening after having a longer day out. Our only regret was our stay of two quick nights was too short!

More of a studio apartment than a hotel room. There was a small clothes washer-dryer combo in the bathroom, and a cooktop, microwave, and dishwasher in the bed sitting area. A quiet neighborhood, with a short easy walk to the old town with shops and restaurants, and a paid parking lot across the street. Clement was very helpful in making a dinner reservation for us, since our French was not adequate.
