Good stay just outside medina
The location was good for us. Just outside the medina which I imagine is less noisier than being in an accomodation inside the medina. Some good restaurants close by on same street. Also, it's not all the way up the hill like in the medina so taxis can drop you off at the door whereas in the medina, no cars are allowed in so it can be tough for some people. Breakfast was ok. I loved the sweet mint tea. You have an option to eat on roof or downstairs 2 doors over. The workers are very nice and always offering assistance if needed. The only negative is if you plan to sleep early, it may be tough as cars/humans pass by the street up until 11-12pm and the windows/walls are not as sound insulated.

Exceptional
This place perfect. The room and hotel is in minty new shape. Has a nice Moroccan feel to it. Beds are extremely comfortable. The rooms are clean and crisp. The best shower I have had on the trip. The hotel is close to banks and restaurants. Located in the middle of the hill so only a 5 minute walk to the medina and 5–10 back down to the bus route. You can take a taxi here which is nice. The gentleman who checked us in is very kind and explained everything easily for us to understand. I highly recommend this hotel.

GREAT location. A lot of the properties in Chaouen are in the old Médina and not accessible by car. This property is next to one of the entrances to the old Médina maybe 5 minute walk. Another road leads you to the Spanish mosque (the mosque itself is under whelming but the view of the city is phenomenal). The staff are very helpful and provide local maps to get around. Nice restaurant in the area chez aziz, it’s fast service and not expensive. The only downside is the amount of hair we found in the washroom & the fact that the shower didn’t drain properly. But otherwise I would definitely recommended

Great location and the staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful! They even provided an easy to read map with clear guidance to the tourist spots. The shower was scalding hot and my mum burnt herself - even after asking the staff to come look at it, she was able to turn it down a little bit still it was far too hot! We checked out early to get the coach (6:30am) and requested to take a small breakfast with us but they could not accommodate this. Some fruit and a yogurt would have been nice. The area was very noisy at night, dogs barking, music playing and people talking/shouting outside meant we didn’t sleep much. The beds were also rock hard. Don’t attempt to make your way from the coach station to the main part of town - the hills and suitcases do not work!!

The staff here are extremely nice and accommodating. I loved the views too. Room is small and beds are uncomfortable. Shower is also very small and only hot water. Nevertheless I really loved the location close to the main square. Thank you again!

Good Overall
The location is great if you want to stay outside of the Medina but it is a jaunt uphill to get to the Medina - even if it isn't very far, the hill is steep. Everyone who worked there was nice and helpful. The beds were pretty hard but we survived. We were given an upgrade to a room with a salon.

Good stay
The staff managing the place are really helpful n great. Location is good for exploring the small town and hotel is next to the main road so you dont have to carry your luggages too far up the hill. Room is basic but clean, however, the toliet does have a funky smell.
