Very good for the cost
Welcome was friendly, I was shown to room and told were kitchen was, but not where bathroom was. I was given a brown paper bag which contained "breakfast": Cereal, UHT milk, a cake, a pottle of fruit in juice and a sachet of Juice. I marked my juice and put it in the communal fridge so it would be cold in the morning - sadly someone stole it! ! ! Grrrr. I had problems parking - the Wilsons Park across the road did not accept cash as a form of payment and Wilson's staff were not able to advise where else to go - on the good side I saved $6 by parking on the street LOL :-) No info was given about WiFi or facilities in building or locally - I checked for info in room or on notice boards by Reception, in foyer, in kitchen or dining room :-(

Exceptional 10.0
Wellington view, with great staff
A large room with a superb view of Wellington waterfront, within (steep) walking distance of the CBD. This student residence (with shared bathrooms) is equipped and cleaned to a high standard. Crisp, white bed linens, sparking clean bathrooms and shared kitchenettes (with large fridges for one's own supplies), in which provisions for tea and coffee are supplied. Best of all is the delightful and helpful staff who are mainly graduate students at the University. Guests should be aware that buffet breakfast is available only when the kitchen is operative (during term time). At other times, a packed breakfast is provided. On querying this, staff resolved this immediately by arranging for me to have a good buffet breakfast (and another great view) at another student property, Te Peri Village, which is an invigorating 15 minutes walk uphill. Overall, a very comfortable stay in a well managed and welcoming property.
