If you are expecting a bed and breakfast in a Victorian house with gardens, you might be disappointed. Deal's is in a variable neighborhood with houses ranging from well cared for to not so well cared for. The house itself is a split level ranch-style number with a few rooms on either level. Breakfast is served in the dining room, which adjoins the eagle-themed living room. The rooms are comfortable, with the quirky clutter one expects from a B&B. The breakfast is an ample self-serve affair that is a notch above hotel breakfast buffets. There is a great little Korean restaurant walking distance away, as well as a walking trail that was just being completed during my stay. The B&B is conveniently located near the airport for those catching a flight. During my stay there were several guests who had come back every year, one for weeks at a time. So, it felt more like stepping into a family reunion of a family I didn't know than a hotel experience. I had a good time, but I wanted to spell out what the experience is like for those who are a bit more regimented in their ideas about lodging. Go with an open mind, and you'll have a ball! Go with preconceived ideas, and you could be setting yourself up for disappointment.
