We found it was in a great location for shopping, supermarket and restaurants. All sights were walking distance. Better sleep than our 3 previous hotels. Noise was only occasional as it is a night life area.

The hotel is eco friendly so you need to request cleaning service if you’re staying for multiple nights. A great home base if you want to explore downtown Athens

Very smart and comfortable rooms which had shared kitchen facilities in the basement. Offered gym , hot tub and sauna if needed. The location was perfect for shopping, eateries and activities. I stayed with my son and the property greatly appealed to both of us. The staff were friendly, helpful and provided information readily. Highly recommend staying at athensotel.

This was an exciting urban experience. I'm old, but this location made me feel cool and hip. The record store across the street pumped out great tunes all day. The graffiti wasn't so intimidating once I got to know the friendly shopkeepers nearby. There was a bit of noise at night but we slept well in our little cocoon. I wish I'd taken the loft bed because I discovered too late it was the better mattress.

Good location but that comes with a price
The location is perfect for a short stay in Athens, the only downside is that at night it can be loud outside and the room is bad isolated, so it is difficult to sleep.
