A Dream for a Long-Term Traveler
First time in Seoul, and I stayed at 4 different hotels. I stayed at this property for a week, and it was GREAT. It was close to the subways (mainly Line 4 and Line 2), had a washer/dryer, and a kitchenette. The room was very modern and sleek, with constant care done by housekeeping daily. Washer and dryer came in handy since we were sweating A LOT from the July heat. The dryer function was too strong, but I think that's pretty standard in Korea. The machine was also only in Korean, so we had to use Papago to translate the icons. The room and bathroom were very spacious, it didn't feel like we were on top of one another. The elevator system was a little complex due to the different sides and levels to the building (left half is for hotels/right half is for long-term residences). They should really add more elevators because we were ALWAYS waiting for one. The pool was GORGEOUS, just a little small. But because of they require reservations to limit the amount of people at a time, there was never more than 10 people at the pool at the same time. The staff was really helpful and mostly communicated in English. I had a problem with ordering a taxi on Kakao T, but one of the staff members helped while explaining in English what the app was saying. Overall I highly recommend this hotel, and will be using this hotel again for my next visit!

2/10 Poor

Expedia dedicated this as a family friendly hotel, that is way off. They dont allow children under 14yrs old to enter the restaurant lounge and make you take breakfast togo boxes if you have kids as part of your free breakfast package. I emailed and Requested early check in months ahead and when we arrived it was not possible so they send us to the restaurant lounge, but the lounge did not allow my 8yrs old daughter to enter so we were left hanging out in the lobby. When finally given a room,they had 1 towel for 3 people so we had to request for more towels. The next day after cleaning the room, same thing happen, 1 towel for 3 people so we had to request towels again. They charged for an extra bed for my daughter, even though the room was a premium suit. The view was terrible, overlooking trash dumpsters and ugly surrounding. Would definitely not book with Novotel chain agian. Very disappointing.

A Fantastic Stay
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a little hard, but it’s what I expected to an extent. I loved the bathroom, which was enormous by Korea standards. I loved the view of Namsan from my room. I had access to the executive lounge, which was excellent. I appreciated that I could get a to go box any time I wanted one. The food was absolutely delicious. I’d highly recommend the Pocha restaurant. I also went to the buffet, which was incredible quality, beautifully presented, and again, delicious. The location was amazing, just a quick walk to well located buses and Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, with access to subway lines 2, 4, and 5. Overall, I had a great stay and I’d recommend it to others, as well.

The staff is very attentive and helpful. The location is perfect. Plenty of dining options in the area. The pools are clean and in great condition. You need to reserve a pool time in 2 hour time slots, but that’s no problem. It wasn’t busy and there was plenty of room. The pool on the roof is adults only, which was nice. We stayed in a residence room, which has plenty of space and a laundry machine. The shower drain was partially plugged up but they sent someone up while we were out to clear it. One of the outlets by the beds was not working properly, like it had been damaged. The airport shuttle pickup is next door to the hotel. The drop off spot is around the corner at Baiten hotel. Overall a great place to stay with easy access to all the sights.
