On check in, felt I was not an appreciated client. Lady from inside interrupted my check in procedure, with a trivial question for the man attending to me. Accom was very clean and tidy. One bed light did not work, so I needed to sleep on other side of bed to my norm.

An extremely unpleasant experience and forced early checkout - My room had been cleaned and my belongings thrown out before checkout. I had arrived back to my room at 9:30am after doing a hike in the Warrumbungles so I could freshen up before my 5hr trip home to find my room had already been cleaned (bed and vacuum only - toilet was still dirty and mould still on shower curtain) and my belongings I left in the room for my return had been thrown out. When I questioned the staff (pretty sure it was one of the owners) about this she said they thought I had left even though some of my things were still in the room and I hadn't returned the key (which I stated to her many times - she just came back with the same excuse). I could not comprehend how they thought I had left. She was not able to recover my belongings (she said some were binned, others were in the office but then couldn't find them!?) and I received no actual verbal apology just an excuse. She was very rude. Never have I ever experienced this before staying at a hotel/motel. I was and still am extremely angry!! Not only that but when I checked in, they wanted to overcharge me by $45 p/n. I booked via Expedia - $150 for 2 nights. They tried to get me to cancel my Expedia booking so they could charge me $120 per night. A totally unpleasant experience and would definitely never ever stay here again. I am still very angry about the checkout or should I say thrown out experience (myself and my belongings). Dodgy Motel!!!
