10/10 Exceptional

What a lovely place! We took a last minute detour on our way home from London as we’d never been to Norfolk, and what a lovely experience it was. The owners were great and gave us tips on where to visit whilst in the area. Such a cosy little place and the food was great. Lots of vegetarian options which was amazing!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary & had a lovely time. John & Alison made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean & comfortable & the building itself had love character being built in the 1600's. We had a meal in the restaurant on both nights & the food was superb. We highly recommend staying here & will definitely be returning.

2/10 Poor

The worst room we have ever had. Shocking! Everything was cobbled together as cheaply as possible. The shower was in the bedroom. One tiny window and a skylight with no blind so that daylight was pouring in at 4.00 am. Goodness knows what the mattress was made of. Not springs anyway. Maybe a blowup bed. I booked the room two months ago and there were others available.

Lovely location. The food was first class. The only drawback for me personally was that Breakfast was not available until 8pm which was fine on this particular occasion as my meeting was late enough to accomodate this but may not be if I choose to stay again.
