Chilling out back in Krui
The main surf break in the area is 22 km south of Krui and is now a surfer's ghetto so if your not a surfer and want to visit the Krui area Krui Surf Camp (Mutiara Alam) is a good choice. It's located on the road that hugs the south shore of Krui Bay and leads to Redak Rivermouth Beach where you can then walk to the Lintik Beach area and keep walking south down to Mandiri Beach Rest Stop; about 12 km. At high tide there's no beach in front of Krui Surf Camp but that changes with the low tide. The map on Hotels.com is wrong as this hotel is right before Secret Sumatra (Villa Desa) run by Chris the Aussie. Chris, Zane (the owner) and his son Zandino all speak fluent Bahasa Indonesia.
