    Not worth it at all

Beware, Expedia users. The hotel may double-charge you. Even if you tell them that you already paid thru Expedia, they are going to charge you anyway. Although we did get a refund and an apology the next morning, we were already very frustrated. Never going back there again!!

    Great location, bad food

On site food is overpriced and tasteless. I could take bad food if it’s cheap or pay a lot for excellent food, but you’re kind of trapped without other nearby options. But the lodging is fine and offers a lovely natural environment immersion with nearby trails and clean mountain air.

    Disappointing.

Early April travel to Mt Rainier. We were lucky the lodge was the first and lowest stop in the park. The park doesnt plow the roads, the lodge or park doesn't maintain the trails. Instead they offered snow shoe rentals or a fireplace as the only forms of amenities. No electronics or wifi, limited services, no hot breakfast. Dinner at $25 per plate with 5 menu options, no kids menu. 10 minute wait to check in as only guests for the night as only employee was on phone with his boss and had us wait. Why not? We left the keys on counter next morning, while he was on the phone again! The room? Could not be to code. Double bed for two adults. We had to side step between wall and bed to get in. Im 130 lbs! Good thing no bigger! No view from room or from fireplace in lounge. Wasted trip. Disappointing. We saw more of Rainier from the seatac airport.

    Poor and unresponsive customer service

The location is the best to visit Mt. Rainier in winter. However, while charming, I was disappointed about the unresponsive customer service from the National Park Inn. I had questions about what was in the room, e.g., is there a microwave and fridge? I called them directly only to hear, "Due to COVID-19 we are no longer answering phone calls, please email us at ..." So I email them as requested, and no reply. This is not acceptable and disappointing that they blame their lack of customer service on a global pandemic. BTW, the rooms do not have a microwave, no fridge, no coffeemaker. The rooms are very small.

If you like off the grid this is the place, no wi-fi, no cell service and no TVs. The only thing I will say that I did not like is the towels were very small. We enjoyed our family time there.

    Disconnected

The website said they had wifi but they didn't. I had homework I had to get done so we had to go home. Also ...they had no shower. My husband is a disabled Veteran and can't take a bath. They really need to show pictures of their bathrooms.
