Very nice room. Though it was smaller than others in the building (I peeked when doors were open), it was big enough. The bed was great, and the shower was roomy with excellent water pressure and lots of hot water. The room was spotless—absolutely impeccably clean—and very quiet. With Dubrovnik’s many stairs, I was worried that the place would be up one of the steep side streets that are just endless stairs, but that was not the case. There were a few shallow steps, but not too many. The location was convenient to everything. People with mobility issues should note that all but one of Rilati’s rooms are on the second floor, up one flight of stairs, with no elevator. The only things I didn’t love about the place were the very, very slow wifi and the view. There was scaffolding outside my window with a horizontal platform that stretched from my outside wall all the way to the wall across the alley, so there was absolutely no view at all. I’m pretty sure that the other rooms faced a different way and didn’t have the scaffolding. This wasn’t a big issue for me, but might be for someone who considers a scenic view a priority.

This was a perfect place to stay in the old town. The room was newly renovated and clean and well organized, so even if it was small, you don’t even notice. We had everything we needed. The fridge had cold beer and water ready for our arrival. There was bread, jam, coffee and tea for our breakfasts. The housekeeper Sanda was friendly and welcoming and helped with all our questions. When we asked if beach towels were available for our kayaking trip the next day, to our surprise brand new towels arrived the same day! They really made an effort to make sure our stay was perfect. There is even a clothesline outside the windows so we could wash our clothes and dry them quickly. The location is convenient to pretty much everything, and right beside the Game of Thrones “walk of shame” steps. I would recommend this property. Thank you Ana.

Relatively inexpensive, clean & convenient
We stayed 2 nights here, and were perfectly happy for the price (relative to other hotels in Dubrovnik, which is a very expensive place to stay). The room was tiny and opened up right onto the street, and you basically just had a couple of steps from the street until you hit the bed. The room was small. The bathroom was small. Everything smelled a little bit damp. But everything was clean, the wifi worked quite well, and the staff were lovely and gave us a beer each on arrival! The street was a bit noisy during the night with drunk people and restaurant staff emptying bins & getting early morning deliveries etc. Having said that, that will be an issue anywhere in the Old Town. Location is spot on. Despite little quibbles above, I'd definitely stay here again. Note that you need to tell them what time you arrive as there is no reception area, just a housekeeper that meets you to let you in.

Very good 8.0
Rilati is by no means a hotel but a series of apartments. There is no room service - towels get changed every three days and bed linen every seven. Having said that - if you're prepared to make your own bed, tidy up etc. this could be the perfect place. Very pleasant room with a spacious shower and small kitchen with facilities to make your own breakfast or lunch if you don't want to go out to eat (can be very useful if you're on a budget 'cos Dubrovnik is by no means a cheap destination!). Ana, the owner, was most helpful in details before our arrival, but we never met her - and there are no staff on hand to assist (you have your own key to enter and leave). It's a very central location, but bear in mind the city is pedestrianised and you have to make your own way there from the city gates on foot. Lots of places to eat nearby and your close to all major sites.

Tiny room but overall excellent value
I had the stand alone unit to the right of the main house - tiny but very cozy and nice. It is very close to the Stradun (main street in Old Town) just a few minutes walk, but far enough away from the noise that it felt like I was staying amongst local residents for a very neighborhood-y feel. Lots of cute neighbor cats hanging out outside which added to the ambience. Excellent value. Ana was very nice and responsive over email, and her husband was very friendly and met me outside to give me the keys quite late after my airplane landed at 10 pm which was greatly appreciated. My only issues (minor): 1) the wifi did not work for about 10 straight hours although it did eventually start working again. 2) The shower head, when clipped to the holder on the wall, could not be angled downward so the water shot straight ahead into the shower door instead of down at me, which obviously did not enable me to shower properly. So I had to hold the shower head and manually spray myself to rinse off.
