Disappointing stay
This was a quite strange accommodation. It was out of town (which we knew) but the room we had (and they told us on check on there had been a change with other rooms so we had the bigger room which we thought was a bonus, but was disappointed) Very tired rooms, bathrooms really need some work, not really appealing at all. Granted it was not expensive, but it was not at all what we expected, sorry Red Steer!

Quite run down and extremely dated. Definitely a low budget motel though cheap to stay don’t expect anything more than just somewhere to sleep. The odour within the room is embedded in the flooring and walls, it’s a stench that consists of cigarette and mould. Being asthmatic it was the worse waking up feeling tight in the chest. The bathroom had bugs and worms crawling around the floor, sink and shower. The carpet is in desperate need of replacement as well. The male staff member at the bar was nice but oddly the female who abruptly checked us in was also drinking with patrons which in my opinion is unprofessional. It’s quite noisey at night during the weekend so be prepared Incase you want to stay somewhere quiet. It’s definitely far from a 4 star motel

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The meals on offer were just superb and priced quite well. The accommodation wasn't 5 star but certainly was clean and comfortable.. All in all a pleasant experience.

The Red Steer is an older place so is dated, but the beds are comfortable, the best motel shower ever!! & very clean rooms. We went over to the bar for a drink & some dinner, the bar staff were lovey, young & cheerful they had a 21st on that night & a wedding out the back. The band was fantastic & all the guests were singing & dancing, we had a great night. We got back to our room & couldn't hear a thing all this for $76.50 a night awesome value!!
