My favourite hostel in all of Europe. The rooms were clean, welcoming, spacious, safe and quiet. Each door requires your own personal access pin which is great as you don't need to carry your room key everywhere! The staff were friendly and made me feel like family (Cosmin on the front desk is worth special mention). The amenities and activities are second to none. Table tennis, tv, karaoke, guitars, Nintendo Wii, books, board games, this place has it all. Bean bags in the welcome foyer, HUGE outdoor common area (shaded in parts from the hot midday sun), you can see the thought and effort put in to the place. The events run by the hostel were fabulous. The walking tour was fun and informative, there were community cooking dinners, karaoke and ping pong nights. All of these were run by Luigi, the resident event co-ordinator and he has been the best hostel employee I met on my tour of Europe. Knows Rome inside and out, extremely friendly and has a genuine care about people enjoying their stay and making them feel included. The Barrel is the hostels own restaurant and bar and also where breakfast is served. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and in some cases, better than going out locally. It's clean, well run and has a great vibe. Overall I would strongly suggest the RomeHello hostel to anyone visiting Rome. Be mindful this is not a party hostel, it's a place you can relax and plan to see the many sights, sounds and tastes of Rome which is my mind is a good thing.

This is one of the best hostel’s I have said at. Clean, a great sized room, comfortable bed and great common facilities. The bar/restaurant attached was also really good, breakfast was amazing for €7. Would definitely book this place again.

Great hostel, close to all the major tourist points and a couple of bus stops as well for the further locations. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a decent breakfast at the attached bar/cafe.

    Very clean

Really nice hostel, very clean Although it was pouring rain - got wet shoes, was awkwardly told I couldn’t dry my shoes over the heater. Odd experience but ok

It was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in my life, and I’ve travelled quite extensively around the world...the staff are legitimately friendly, they even hire people with down syndrome The rooms felt like a hotel room with a desk and even a closet for your coat The kitchen is chef’s grade with an industrial fan It’s the first hostel I’ve seen that actually cleans their couches, they have showers for after you checkout, a foosball table and karaoke If there was only one downside, it’s that the bathroom has no fan, and the shower is a bit small

Good location, but more costs than you think

The location is good. It's right next to a shopping street and bus stops. The train station and subway station are a few minutes away. So it's convenient to get around. The bathroom water is hot and cold switch back and forth, so that's not very nice in winter. The laundry cost 4 to wash and 4 to dry. Towel is 2 for rent. So there is many additional cost.
