I really enjoyed the rooms at The Guild! Perfectly located and extremely convenient! Would definitely stay there again. It made my bachelorette trip well worth it.

Enjoyed Austin Guild City Center
It was great! We appreciated the opportunity to stay there for such a large room with a beautiful view. Perfect location. Nicely equipped kitchen. Such a bargain!

Not really a hotel
Warning -there is a lot of hassle involved in staying at The Guild. It's not actually a hotel, it's an apartment and there is no staff on the premises. The pre registration is a hassle (you have to send photos of yourself and your DL) and then the company emails you several videos to explain how you will access the parking garage, elevator, room, and amenities (and honestly you really do need to watch the videos as it is not self explanatory). Also, if you are driving you need to register your car with them before you arrive (which we did, yet they still didn't have our info, leading to another headache. Though they did refund the parking fee, which I appreciate). Once we got there we found that the pool was closed, and we were also asked to let AT&T workers into the apartment to do work on the cable at 9 am the day of check out. I found all of this frustrating and very inconvenient for a simple one night stay. On the positive side, the apartment was lovely, clean, comfortable, spacious and in a really great location. The staff are accessible by phone and did respond to all my calls and texts quickly. If I were looking for a place to stay for a week or more I would consider The Guild, but for a short stay save yourself the inconveniences and just book a traditional hotel.

I really wanted to like it..
I really wanted to like the Guild but unfortunately it just didn’t work that way. I arrived late at night to find that my room smelled like stale cigarettes and that all of the pillows in the room were down. I was exhausted and had no one to contact for new pillows so I tried to get some sleep, but sneezed most of the night. I decided to sleep in since I hadn’t slept much due to my allergies but to my dismay a maintenance man began knocking at my door at ~8am. I asked him to come back at 11, after I was checking out but he kept knocking every 30 minutes. I was checking out to go stay at another high end hotel in Austin (which was coincidentally less expensive) and can’t say that I’d stay at the Guild again.
