We enjoyed our stay at The Blue Heron on the upper floor. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the lake and the hot tub in our room. This hotel is outdated but the vibe is great if you’re looking for a laid back lakeside atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and we enjoyed a nice dinner at Tbones with wonderful service. My only warning to anyone with a sensitive nose is that the use of floral disinfectant is quite strong through the building. We did appreciate the coffee in the lobby and the breakfast in the morning. Thank you to the staff who work very hard there!

We went here for the first time as my husband and I celebrated our Anniversary. It was fabulous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. They had a great tiki bar and a restaurant right on the lake. Food was excellent. Such a beautiful site to see which made our trip very relaxing. We didn't get to use the pool as it looked like it was closed because the cover was on. The breakfast was nice, some of the better ones compared to other hotels. They had sausage, egg, cheese mcmuffins, danish, bagels, and muffins, cereal, yougarts, fruit, waffels, juice and coffee. A lot of attractions not far from there. If we stay in the area again we will definitely be back!!

Great little spot on the Lake. Hotel shows some wear and tear but nothing terrible. Breakfast was nice and pool and tiki bar/restaurant were a big plus. Our room was remodeled and nice but very humid at times. We rented a pontoon but it had no anchor so we couldn’t park and swim. But the boat and lake were nice. Overall would stay again. Good value for the price.

Check in was smooth. Actually got a quick tour of the facilities and where best to park. Restaurant & bar looked busy but we ordered a famous pizza close by. Located right on the water, full boat docks. Beds were comfy but older, room very clean. Super close to New Buffalo & Indians Dunes.
