Was a nicely renovated building, didn’t really like the vacuuming going on at 8am or the loud music below but overall it was great value for the location.

Dive bar vibe (and smell) permeates entire hotel. Definitely a young person's party place – rooms have a fully stocked mini bar complete with Jägermeister, rolling papers and bud grinder. Room linens were clean but room was dusty and shows lots of signs of heavy partying and the fact that it was essentially an old flop house that has had a funky cosmetic overhaul -- which admittedly does make the place pretty cool. The main floor nightclub (Thrift Shop) was closed for renovations but the other two bars (Lobby Bar and basement Denizen Hall) were open and the street and music noise can be heard in the rooms. Plus you can hear hallway and room noise clearly. To be fair, the hotel website does make it quite clear that it's noisy and even offers ear plugs, but the Expedia listing fails to mention this. We booked the hotel based on price and proximity to Rogers Place as we were there for a hockey game - and it fully delivers on those scores.

Everything was great with the exception of the previous guests left their sunglasses in the room so that made me question the cleaner eye for detail and then I was charged for a snack that I didn’t even eat. So my assumption would be who ever owned the glasses also ate the snack and whoever took inventory was probably the same who missed the glasses.

The property is above a club and it bears note that on the weekend it is very loud till after 2 am. also there was a party in the hallway till 8 am and someone was able to unlock the room door the only thing that stopped them getting is was the chain on the inside, was vey disturbed by this staff said they would look into it but we heard nothing back disappointing.

This is a really nice old hotel that’s updated with hipster details. The only thing I dislike is that parking is so darn expensive

A very unique hotel that looks very cool but they advertise a soaker tub that is only 10 inches deep and you cannot even cover your legs with water in, there is no thermostat in the room which got very cold during the night, the bed was so hard I woke up multiple times during the night in pain, the mini bar fridge was so noisy I had to unplug it, and although the selection for the minibar items was impressive the prices were so high I could not partake. With some upgrades though this could be a really neat hotel.
