Very good and will return
Very friendly staff. Responsive and professional. Everybody smiles! I would recommend highly that when placing flatware for breakfast, to be quieter ...the clinking wakes you up. In addition, orders for breakfast should not be heard beyond the kitchen area. One playa decided to entertain his quest on the 2nd floor with music at 2:30am. I had to get out of bed to teach that guy to be respectful of the hour and all other guest trying to sleep. The deck and breakfast furniture need updating. It’s the staff that will bring me back. Oh! the bed was amazing.

Stylish and lovely
Views of La Popa and the Fort from our room! Lovely pool with vistas, cool and hip area with amazing food, beautiful and short walk into the old city through the historic gate with the clock tower. And all for a budget price!

Very good 8.0
Great hotel; limited services
Love the hotel, its quaintness, the friendliness of its staff, and its proximity to everything. For their own sake, I urge them to review the breakfast provided. Not the best or freshest. The fruit cup had obviously been prepared hours before. And one has to ask for a second cup of coffee! The bread is not fresh and there is no choice; the actual breakfast is only so-so. It is very limited; there is no choice; there is no flexibility; and one has to ask for everything "extra." I think hotels should decide whether they are offering a free breakfast or not. If they are -- especially a cosy little hotel like this -- they should go all in! In fact, they should offer a signature breakfast and offer multiple things, including fresh fruit, yogurt, things that are common in other hotels, like fried plantains etc etc. I was surprised that a hotel with this kind of charm offered such a poor and limited breakfast. The kitchen operation is obviously de-emphasized and on a shoestring basis. This is a HUGE mistake. Good, tasteful, "local", and ample breakfasts are a big draw for visitors. I would trade a fantastic breakfast for less unique accommodations. I say all this to help you improve, because I like this hotel. One other thing: unique room keys that have a replacement fee if lost? Ridiculous in this day and age ... So much more could be done to make this charming hotel more attractive! One gets the feeling that the owners renovated the actual building and then left town.
