Residence Inn by Marriott Near Universal Orlando™

Location is perfect for visiting Universal Studios - complimentary shuttle was a bonus (saved $25 each day). Studio room was spacious for 4 people. Breakfast was the usual fare and kept tidy and stocked by the staff. The front desk staff here were fantastic. We had to shorten our trip because of Hurricane Dorian and the staff was very accommodating whereby the front desk person allowed me to use his personal cellphone to contact our travel helpdesk to modify our return flight. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was amazing. Despite being a Universal Studios partner hotel it was quiet and clean. The room was clean and spacious and the small kitchen was such a plus. I wasn't quite sure of the food policy for Universal studios so we didn't buy any groceries but looking back we could easily have bought sandwich supplies and packed a sack lunch for each day. Breakfast was nice and hearty and there were a ton of options. The hotel even gives you suggestions on the best time to eat to avoid heavy traffic. There is also an option to buy Tickets for Universal Studios on site which was very convenient. And a shuttle to take you to and from the hotel so you don't have to pay for an Uber. We did spend one day at Disney's Animal Kingdom and the Uber ride each was was around $20 each way. The gym is small and doesn't have many free weights but we did so much walking in the parks we were too exhausted to even consider a workout. They also allow you to store luggage in their luggage room if you have a late flight that is after check out but still want to go out and about. Would definitely stay here again. It was so nice to come back to after a long day of walking and the price was comparable to hotels in the area that didn't offer breakfast or have a kitchen in the room.

I like the view from my room. I did not like the housekeeping. One flday they changed the bed clothing and forgot it on the floor. Next day they cleaned the room and there were still on the floor so I have to take it and leaved it at the front desk. I let them know what happens and they just say sorry.

Couple of issues during my stay, the air conditioning thermostat wasn’t working properly, don’t know if it was on purpose but the temperature setting didn’t last long and always came back to 85F, so we have to keep changing the setting down to 75F. Another issue is that we approached a lady in charge of cleaning the rooms to request to clean our room because in the last three days nobody clean it as we had a dog, she told us to take our dog out by 2pm and remove the dog sticker sign, we did it and left the room for two hours and when we came back the room was not cleaned, we waste our time and at the end our room was not cleaned during all our stay, so be aware if you bring a pet what you can expect.

Excellent hotel, very clean, well maintained and beautiful. We got a 4th floor room with lake view, very nice. Despite orlando’s Bland scenery we got a view. The staff was very kind, courteous, and helpful. Housekeeping was very good too, they would setup the dishwasher too with all the dirty dishes, something I didn’t expect. Room service was always prompt. Free breakfast was quite good with some variety everyday and better than your average place. They would let us bring breakfast to the room too so another plus point. Free parking and grocery shopping too. Several free shuttles to universal but only one shuttle to Seaworld which was kind of useless die to hours. My only little gripe was there was nothing more than a token gym and outdoor pool so there was nothing to do at the hotel.
