1.Booked hotel for 3 day stay during peak season, transferred payment, received confirmation and itinerary.
2.Arrived in Melbourne with family 3 weeks later and phoned hotel owner to arrange check in for the following morning.
3.Owner hung up as they couldn't hear the call as they were at the tennis.
4.Owner then sent text message to say my booking had been cancelled as the previous tenants decided to extend their stay....sorry for the inconvenience. Wotif will refund my payment.
5. Owner also conveyed they had previously sent email to notify cancellation, and would forward it to me again - never saw any email in either case. No communication. And not one direct phone call - ever.
6. We then had to find last minute accommodation for a family of 5, using Wifi on our mobile phone at 5pm in the afternoon. Absolutely appalling experience.
7. Having returned home, I spent a day chasing up refund for unavailable accommodation which Wotif knew nothing about.
8.This accommodation does not deserve to be on the internet. Totally unacceptable. Very disappointed.
