The place is located in a quieter area of Bocas, which is only about 5 minute taxi ride away from the main street ($1/person). The rooms are spacious and clean, the view from the front of the hotel is the beach area, which has a private feel to it as well. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Caretaker Hasso was super helpful with providing info on local places to visit, how to get there and what to expect. Breakfast was excellent as well. Overall two thumbs up!

Our Best Lodging Experience in Panama
We stayed in a handful of places throughout Panama and the Sand Dollar B&B was by far our favorite. The location was great (steps away from a great beach and not in the heart of town), the rooms were clean and comfortable and the service was exceptional. The staff went out of their way to help us and accommodate our needs. Plus, Damaris makes the best breakfast! Our biggest regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

The property is directly across the road from a great swimming beach. The breakfast were fabulous and changed everyday. For $1 per person it is a quick taxi ride into town for tours, dinners and shopping. But the highlight are your hosts, Sharon, Mark and staff who will do ANYTHING to make your stay in Bocas memorable.

Wonderful hosts, arranged a super day going to different islands, willing to help with anything. Across from a lovely swimming beach, close to others, quiet but a short cab to town. Lovely breakfast. Hope to return!

La experiencia fue excelente. El hotel está emplazado en un lugar privilegiado. Con excelente acceso a medios de transporte, no demasiado lejos del centro. La habitación muy cómoda con un balcón terraza con vista preciosa al mar . El personal sumamente amable y dispuesto para ayudar con explicaciones o con lo que fuera necesario. Una excelente relación precio/prestación

Nos gustó mucho el Sand Dollar. Está bien ubicado, a pocos minutos del centro en taxi (pasan todo el tiempo y cobran $1 por persona), tiene unas instalaciones limpias, habitaciones amplias, un hermoso jardín, está frente a una playa. Hasso y Damaris nos atendieron con profesionalismo: ambos nos dieron indicaciones sobre tours y tips para hacer más agradable nuestra estadía y Damaris preparó unos desayunos espectaculares. Mi único reclamo se refiere a información sobre el pago: al reservar me hicieron un cargo a la tarjeta de crédito, y el saldo debía cancelarlo en el hotel. Una vez allí nos dijeron que debía ser en efectivo, pues con tarjeta había un recargo del 5%. Me habría gustado saber esto con anticipación, pues no suelo llevar mucho efectivo.
