The staff was super friendly and helpful and their attention to detail was great. The air conditioning was awesome given the heat wave going on in France. The rooms were a bit spartan, beds were hard, and the bathrooms small, but everything worked and having the small hot plate and fridge was a huge help in keeping us from having to eat out every meal. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro and in a kind of industrial area. From the outside it looks like a non-descript industrial building - so don't go there looking for beautiful surroundings. It was a good place for our family of 5 to get to the World Cup games, but did not spend any time in/around the hotel.

Good 6.0
OK hotel inexperienced non sympathetic service
There was 2 young girls in reception. We arrived 11:30 with my wife and 1 year old baby. They kept saying like parrots that rooms will be released 3PM. I told them that we will not need a room. I just need to iron shirt and change clothes for my business meeting "Rooms will be released at 3Pm" was all these young girls were able to say. Eventually they promised to try to contact room service. They couldn't. They had almost no work at all at this 1 hour time waited. Our situation didn'ät bother them at ALL. What a great symphaty towards the people that pay your salary. Eventually I got mad and demanded to contact manager. First they said they don't know the number!?? since she is not here. I proposed we go see if any of the rooms could be borrowed for 5 mins. since they were not busy. Also not possible. I also told them that I will reveal all this. This got them somehow creative and the other girl found storage room next to reception (5m) where was ironing board, iron and where I could change my clothes. After 1 hour waiting, amazing! My message to management. Tell these young people what really matters at the end of the day. And for these girls. If you feel upset about my message, I strongly recommend you go and change your work into something where do you don't need to meet people. Collecting trash in the park is something where following the rules is very important and leads into good results.

Nice Hotel
This was a nice clean modern hotel but the location wasn't great for us. Not knowing the city of Lyon we were not sure where to stay. After visiting the city we would have preferred to stay closer to Old Lyon but this place was only a few blocks from the metro and their metro system was easy to get around on. The small but adequate kitchen set up was nice to have and great for a change of having to eat out every meal. We were there for the World Cup games.Air conditioning was OK, but not great which wasn't fun during a record breaking heat wave.

Exceptional 10.0
Overall an excellent stay !
Nice renovated rooms and because it's new everything is quite bright and clean. Resembles to a dorm room although larger. Clientele is young but no complaints about noise whatsoever. Large balcony but did not get to enjoy because I was not there during the day. No place to put your suitcase on but the floor. As I was alone I use one of the night table. My room has a 1 square meter table ; the two chairs are small and probably made of plastic. Remember, there is no daily cleaning. For a 4-6 night stay they would change the towels and empty the waste baskets on the 3rd day, which I declined because I only stayed for 4 nights. I don't know after how many days they would change the bedding. Bathroom a little tight but comes with towel heater, rapid hot water. Nespresso coffee machine with 2 coffee capsules, I am not sure they will be renewed; luckily I brought extra capsules. The best asset would be the very comfortable bed which looks like a king bed to me (about 72"wide). Bed sheets are white and crisp. The location is a little off but I chose it for my own particular reason. However bus routes are almost at the door step. A 20-30-minute walk to a business center and to the Rhone river.

A good option at a decent price
Excellent front of house staff. Rooms are new and well-appointed. They are spacious and a bit funky looking. It's a very IKEA look which simple, comfortable and functional, however some aspects of the bathroom were not great. The position of the towel rail and the toilet roll holder meant sitting on the loo was not comfortable, I had to sit at an angle and leaning forward. I didn't know it had a fitness room but it is very basic. A few cardio machines and some dumbells in a very pokey room. Breakfast is well supplied but the terrasse where it is served is, again, a bit pokey. The location is pretty good, a quick tram ride to the centre of town and nearby there are shops and services you may need.
