Tyrian Serviced Apartments - Albert Park Lake

While the staff was extremely nice, be prepared for an underwhelming stay. Apparently, all of the one-bedroom and studio apartments face inward, which means your direct view from any window is of the apartments across from yours. Therefore it is very dark and lacks total privacy. The location is also on a large road heavy with traffic, and a little out of Albert Park, so just know that ahead of time (especially if you are walking); there are no restaurants or shopping nearby as it appears on their map. While the apartments are newer and modern, it's simply not worth the price given everything else.

Just to be clear... this is a serviced apartment experience not a full service hotel. 24 hour reception was very good with clear information. Free parking available but very tight for a large SUV (ie nearly impossible to get in if other carr parked adjacent). Apartment spacious and near new. King beds very comfy but they take up most of the bedroom. Bathrooms functional but very small. The slab vanity basins look great but not very functional (imo). Free foxtel and movies great. Nespresso coffee great. Very efficient room servicing, consumbles all replaced except milk capsules? (a small 'real' milk carton replaced every day - very coffee - would be highly appreciated). Apartment had double glazed windows but these seemed to do very little to suppress road na occasional people noise (one pane of glass needs to be thicker and laminated in order to improve sound proofing). Rooftop pool, spa, sauna, gym looked but we did not use (too busy elsewhere). Very convenient location for city or elsewhere in Melbourne with easy access to public transport (but not in free sector...no big deal). Overall, enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again...except for raod noise.

After extending our trip in Melbourne we decided to book somewhere nice to spoil ourselves for a week away. Upon entering the hotel, we were welcomed warmly by staff and surrounded by modern and tasteful decor. From entering the hallway out of elevator and into our room, the hotel had a lovely aroma from incense/perfume which was devine! Our room was modern, clean and tastefully decorates also. The bed was super comfortable and the showers heat and pressure was perfect! We enjoyed wine and crackers up on the rooftop overlooking parts of Melbourne and the sauna/spa were a god send! This hotel made our week away. Staff were always happy to help with directions or places to go or simples little things like more milk and coffee for our room. Do yourself a favour and stay here!

The hotel is practically an apart-hotel with all the devices and tools to stay there. Position of the structure is about 2 km far from Flinder Station and downtown is easily accessible with trams, tram stop is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. There are few parking place available for free and, if completely full, there are parking area very close that are free from 6pm till 8am. The Hotel did not provide breakfast but is served by Mr. Percival, which is a coffee restaurant practically inside the hotel. Even if my stay was during the Formula 1 GP and the Hotel is very close to the race track, the place results quite.

Lovely new apartments across the road from Albert park. 5 minute tram ride to the city and 10 minutes to st kilda, south yarra. Apartments were very modern and clean. Comfortable and large beds. Cafe on site to get your breakfast and coffee. Rooftop pool overlooking Albert park and the ocean absolutely beautiful. Only one negative was the lack of parking we have a big car and it was difficult to park in the small Car park. There was only around 10 car parks for the building so need to check in early. Staff very helpful and happy to help with all enquirys. Looking forward to going back again.
