Great value for the price, room is spacious for solo backpackers, nice mountain view Toilet is clean, bed sheets and blanket are clean but a bit old Breakfast is fine for early birds, Super convenient with both train station and bus stops around, had a really nice time.

The hotel has a hostel-style setup, with shared facilities such as a fridge, kettle, and can opener. Reception closes at 3:00pm. The location is convenient as it is close to Steeg-Gosau train station, making it easy for travellers heading to Hallstatt by train (Steeg-Gosau is just one stop from Hallstatt), and the cost is much cheaper than the accommodations in Hallstatt. We really recommend it to anyone who would like to visit Hallstatt!

Property is located in a very quiet area from one rail stop away from famous Hallstatt. it is little bit old, but they are working with renovation so it can be much better very soon on May24. There are not many places to eat outside and no shop, but there is bakery nearby and offers great choice of pastries. Very beautiful and scenery area, about 1,5km walk to the lake.

Disappointed with this stay. Entered into a chaotic fly-filled restaurant to check in before 3 like they said, pointed to the room to be chased out by the cleaning lady. The stairs were irregular with iffy hand rails. The room itself was clean and updated. Large bathroom. It was a noisy night with deliveries at 12am and weed wacker at 4:45. We went to the breakfast and another guest described it well…questionable. Meats and cheese were slim and looked like they were out too long. Staff was nice.

Coming to visit from the U.S. this type of hotel is charming, not new or renovated but like walking back in time and visiting Grandma. Simple, sweet and wholesome. Took a morning walk at 7 am and wow! The beauty of this little village is unforgettable and after a quick breakfast, it took us only 10 minutes to travel to Halstatt and beat the crowds for an unforgettable walk through that postcard beauty.

The business was closed during our reserved stay. A sign on door stating they were closed. I am trying to get my deposit returned to me but the business is claiming they were open. I took several pictures of the building and the sign that proves my statement to be true.
