This hotel is amazing, a modern traditional Japanese experience that was one of the best experiences we have encountered in a hotel. Outstanding

Amazing “ryokan” with a modern twist
One of the best hotels We have ever stayed at. The hotel is stunning in design and diverse in facilities, providing every aspect of the quintessential Japanese experience. The entrance hall is a beautiful “genkan” where you take off and leave your shoes before you enter the building. The attendants will always come out when you arrive or leave to make sure you get your shoes/umbrella back. Each floor is securely accessible by tenants of the floor (limited to 6 rooms per floor) where you share a beautiful Japanese living room/kitchenette. Japanese snacks, cup noodles, teas, coffee and ice cream balls are all complimentary for those feeling peckish throughout the evening. There is an attendant in the living room every morning providing a small sustenance of onigiri (made to order) and miso shiru before you go out to explore the city. The bedroom is very spacious and again beautifully design to give a ryokan feel with a modern twist. We paid for the breakfast in the room and were not disappointed with the traditional Japanese meal. The highlight was the onsen on the top floor with the open roof sky light, absolutely peaceful and relaxing after a long day of walking. The staff are very attentive; I was looking for some custom Japanese ceramic plates and spoke about it with the breakfast attendant who then went back to research it and sent me a long list of ceramicists (shops) to visit in the city. This will be the only hotel we will stay at when we return to Tokyo.

New and clean hotel
Very nice and clean hotel, love the lounge with free snack and drink. Love the location, being away from the hustle and bustle. Wish to stay longer. Although we paid double than The Peninsula Tokyo, the room is a lot smaller, a little bit crowded sometimes after we opened our suitcases on the floor. Hotel staff were very helpful, but only a few of them has good english.
