Exceptional 10.0
Fabulous as always
The staff are extremely attentive, as always, and the rooms are exceptional. I always stay here when I go to Bristol and I never regret it. On this occasion my room was over two floors giving me lots of space and very quirky.

We'll be back again!
A very comfortable 2 night B&B stay. Excellent room with huge bed, sofa and superb ensuite with large bath and shower. Complimentary gin and sherry completed the luxury. Friendly and helpful staff in a very relaxed ambiance. Small but calming spa area with access to pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms. Breakfast had good variety and was well presented. Good central position in city centre with easy access to numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. Shops close by and, of course, theatres, music venues, museums, galleries, churches and the river/harbour. 15 min walk to Temple Meads station. I'm sure we'll return one day.

Very good 8.0
Good Hotel disappointing restaurant
It was good to try a new Harbour Hotel in Bristol (we are regulars of the one in Brighton). It is in the old Lloyds bank in Corn St and so is full of great rooms and quirky rooms and reception areas. We were upgraded to one of the exec rooms in the old part of the building which was great, very clean and comfortable, and very quiet. Crazy layout, toilet and bathrooms up a flight of stars. The bedroom had the highest ceiling of any room we have ever been in. Which I think will make the room cold in the winter. And the lighting was so moody we had to ask for more so we could see our way around the room. The only disappointment of our trip was the restaurant in the hotel. The one in Brighton is great, fun, buzzy, with good food. This one in Bristol on a Friday night was quiet, the staff were friendly but ineffective, and given how few people were in the restaurant this should have been better. The white wine was warm and it took ages to get ice, each course took a long time to arrive, one side was forgotten and when it arrived was saturated in salt. And my wifes main course was not good and we asked for it to be taken off the bill. We will stay here again but won't be eating in the restaurant.
