Roach Motel
I was originally staying in room 206 for 4 nights. Firstly, the noise level from the outside kept me up at all odd hours on the first two nights. I was severely lacking sleep for all my business meetings due to this. The most terrifying thing happened on the third night when I found a COCKROACH in my room!!!! I was so terrified I had to get my coworker to immediately come over and get rid of it. I spent hours on my bed refusing to come down, until I had to finally use the bathroom- only to find that there was ANOTHER cockroach in the bathroom. I ran down immediately to the lobby to inform the receptionist and also use the lobby bathroom. I was horrified and disgusted by the cleanness of this hotel. To be very honest if I haven't been so drained from the two previous nights and lack of sleep I would have moved hotels immediately. I am thoroughly shocked and horrified by my experience at Park 22. I requested a room change after the entire incident, and ended up in a room on the first floor. Needless to say the street noise was FAR worse on the first floor than it was on the second floor. I could hear every person who came down the stairs, ENTIRE conversations in the lobby as well as ANY car or person passing by the street. I AM NOT A LIGHT SLEEPER. I once slept through an earthquake so safe to say this is highly acceptable noise level. I left Singapore after my 4 night stay needing to take an entire week to recover from both the horror and sleep deprivation.

Poor 2.0
I had a completely unpleasant experience during my 2 night stay (22-24 Feb) at PARK 22 LITTLE INDIA. Upon re-entering my room on Saturday evening (23 Feb) at approximately 11.45pm, I noticed that the soap dispenser in the toilet was completely different to the one that was installed when I first checked in. As I had a do not disturb sign hung on my door throughout the period I was away on 23 Feb, I would’ve expected that even house-keeping would have respected my privacy. Therefore, this is a very concerning matter, as the soap dispenser appears to have been changed for no apparent reason (I have a running hypothesis that there was a camera in the dispenser). To make matters worse, the room was not even done-up. Hence, this raises the question - who invaded the privacy of my room without Park 22 giving any prior notice? The amount of trouble I had to go through to check that all my valuables and personal belongings were in order, as well as the lingering thought of having my safety compromised has truly ruined my stay at Park 22 Little India. (Fortunately, nothing was stolen, however I was extremely concerned that illicit goods were placed into my luggage) I have brought this up with the receptionist and emailed PARK 22 LITTLE INDIA, but I have yet to receive any response to follow through with an investigation. I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here based on the UNSAFE experience I have encountered.

One of the most awful hotel experiences anywhere
An overwhelming cigarette smoke smell started drifting into the room on our 2nd of 4 nights - seemed to be from the AC or vent. Staff member offered to switch our room and then returned to inform me that hotel is at full occupancy so we couldn’t. Said that all the rooms are equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as he pointed at some loose wires protruding from the ceiling. Could not offer any other solution. A quick search on Expedia showed that several other rooms were available to be booked for check-in on that same night. Complained again the next morning and they finally switched our room later that day. New room had same mouldy smell, hair in the bathroom floor drain, and a leak in the bathroom plumbing; but at least it did not reek of cigarettes and it did appear to have a smoke detector. Room looks very old and worn with black smears on the walls. Informed the staff - no action. The photos are very deceiving. General damp, mouldy smell throughout hotel. Bathroom fans don’t work. No spaces to put clothes in the bathroom where they won't get wet when showering. No power outlets inside the bathroom and no mirror outside the bathroom. The hairdryer, which you can only use sitting on the bed or standing in one of the corners of the room, only worked sporadically. Very little hot water, sometimes none. Fridges and phones didn’t work. Very noisy, lots of activity out front and loading and unloading of trucks early in the morning.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times now, each time a different style of room. On my first visit, I stayed in the twin size- no window room. Quiet, clean, and affordable. My second stay was in a queen size bed - no windows and I felt the same way as my first stay, hence my return again. This most recent stay I paid a little extra money to have a room with a window on the first floor (a plus because there is no elevator at the hotel so carrying luggage up 3 floors was a bit of a hassle the first few times) I regret paying extra money for this room because The proximity to the street and neighboring business made sleeping at night very very hard. It was the noisiest experience. There was a parking space outside of our window where cars and motorcycles came and left frequently, deliveries were made to the business next store, people talking, someone sweeping outside and spraying water along the sidewalk, a gong-like repeating sound (this all happened between the hours of 2am -7am). Do yourself a favor and save the money and opt out choosing a room with windows and stay in a quieter room upstairs with no windows! Beware of room 107! This is the room with the parking spot outside and closest to the neighboring business! On a brighter note, staff is super friendly and rooms are decorated very cute and kept clean. Appreciated the daily water bottles and amenities offered here. Proximity to the SMRT train lines was great, just across the street! Big Tekka Center Market nearby

I have a booked for park 22 hotel with expedia on 4-8 May. And when my family want to check-in yesterday, the reception need my presence even though im working. This reception staff is really rude and does not make any effort even to contact me. He's also make my family of 10 people wait for few hours before finally someone (a manager maybe) get my family the rooms. He is a malay and i dont know his name, but he's in charge for reception desk on the 4th of May in the night. The room is ok but the toilet!! i've encountered 2 cockroaches during my stay of 4 nights... terrible The hotel is very noisy at night around 10-12am. as there are loading/unloading of stuffs for the grocery store exactly in front of the room. the worst part is on friday, there are literally hundreds++ people loitering around the street in front of the hotel / room. Have no idea for what event/occassion. This is a very bad experience and I will not recommend this hotel for people looking for cleanliness, quiet place, or family-friendly place. The only good thing about this hotel is the location which just in front of the MRT. Too bad the external part of this hotel is so noisy. and the room/staff is not helping the situation.
