Comfort hotel good for family of 2 kid.
The difficulties is to find this hotel during evening since there is no sign board that is feasible from the road. It took half an hour find this place since google map did not help alot. I think they need to put a clear signboard outside the hotel to make it easier to be found. I got room A-03. The great thing is the room is as good as the picture. The main bed is enough for 4 of us. However the second bed upstair is too close to air conditioner not too convenient to be slept on.The staff was really helpful to find way for my family to get to the airport in time ( kazu-san!!!thanks alot. We made it in time to Haneda ). The other drawback is the place is quite far from the Haneda airport ( more than one hour). But there is access of Bus Stop which is only 50 meter from the place. Bus no 55 will take you to Ikebukuro train station (15 minutes) . From ikebukuro you can go all over tokyo easyly. There is a bus stop straight to Haneda airport in Ikebukuro. This bus stop is across metropolitan hotel. Things must be considered is the smi:re stay sometime noisy during the night since its very close to the main road. But dont worry, the staff anticipate it to providing ear plug.

Special room design, but too noisy outside
We love the design of the room, the bed is overhead. The space is just enough for 2. There is a small kitchen with just enough kitchenware. There is a washing machine, but without detergent. Yet the detergent can be found in convenience store 5-min away. There is also vegetables and fruits selling in the convenience store. There are enough hangers for 2 but since the hotel is small, there is not much space to hang the clothes. However, the hotel is next to the main road so it is very noisy, even it is 3am. There is no room cleaning service, but we can get our towels changed by taking them to the front desk and new towels are given immediately. Can simply leave the rubbish to the front desk also. We wanted to ask for the removal of the extra bed but the staff don't really understand English.

The washing machine and kitchenette were plusses. Staff were also friendly and helpful and offered free drinks, miso, earplugs etc that guests could pick up from reception. The room was in great condition and the bathroom shower had plenty of water pressure. The room is cleverly laid out over different levels but it is a narrow space with a lot of stairs plus a ladder to constantly have to use. I stayed with kids including a 5 year old and had to watch the 5 year old all the time as there are railings that she wanted to hang off. Falling off an edge / railing would result in a 2 + metre drop to the bottom of the stairs. For this reason (the safety aspect) I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation for young children. I also wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with large luggage or mobility issues. You have to carry your bags up multiple steps.

Smi:Re hotel Tokyo - a great little hotel
The hotel is a 12-15 minute walk from Tokiwadai station on the Tobu Tojo line. There are plenty of places to eat in the immediate area. Using the Passmoncard gets you anywhere else in the city. The hotel room is cozy. Not much room for sitting or storing items but we pack light anyway so it didn't affect us. Our son slept on the lower bed, my wife and I slept in the loft bed. There is a laundry machine in the room, very useful! And a small kitchenette. Tomasz, the night clerk, was very helpful and took the time to explain everything to us and to show us a few things outside. If staying in the suburbs or very inexpensively appeals to someone, this is the place.

I liked that the room was very clean and spacious. Also, I liked that the price was budget friendly. There was a washing machine in the room, which was very convenient. Having a kitchenette was also a plus. The kitchenette saved us money as we did not have to go to restaurants for every meal. What we did not like was that the location was a bit far from the train station which was tough when we had lots of luggage. Also, receptionists not being present 24 hours was a bit inconvenient. But I guess those are the reasons that they can set their price low. We would stay there again if we have a chance to go to Tokyo.
