This was my first time back in Helena in 27 years. Frankly, I was concerned; I'd heard that the town had taken a rough turn — and frankly it had. If there's criticism to be leveled at the Edwardian it's about its neighborhood: not exactly walkable, and while close to some nice, local attractions, it's also close to a very rundown downtown. But the Edwardian itself is only better than I remember it. What a rich, authentic-seeming experience. The place literally smells good. And the people are very friendly (but not in-your-face friendly, like some B&Bs), and my room was finely appointed with both old-school furnishings and modern amenities. I'm very happy that life is taking me back to Helena — in large part because I can keep coming back to the Edwardian.

Interesting historical building. It is beginning to show wear and needs a bit of refurbishing. The one and only place recommended for dining lost its liquor license and is about to close. The historical downtown is just about shut down and is falling apart. Very poor city population appears to be struggling. There was a temporary hostess who was nice but not real sociable.

I stayed one night with my daughter while traveling to the east. Edwardian Inn is a gem at the east of Arkansas. It is historical, one of a kind, beautiful place. Each room has its own style, thoughtfully decorated. Staff was nice and extremely helpful. Breakfast was superb. Bed was comfortable. Excellent place to stay. I hope to return one day. Thank you
