Breakfast
Owner told us he did us a favor by giving us a room with two beds even though that is what was requested at the time of booking. We were traveling with two girls (4 in the party total) and were asked to pay $15/ea for a 9 year old and 10 year old to eat breakfast. The in-room pamphlet described an extensive breakfast including omelets, waffles, French toast, and more, but all that was offered was two eggs, two sausage links, and a croissant. The property is very well kept and the room was comfortable but this was not the experience we were expecting.

Unfair Hotel Owner in Competitive Business Market
I never ever stayed the such unfair fee hiding hotel again. The hotel is totally wrong and still wrong, no change, but with extra-charge. They charged us extra-fee that is not under agreement, I reserved under 4 persons, but they charged me extra 2 persons fee at the site. I was not sure about the description of the agreement, so I paid $40 + tax, and I reconfirm that it was not under the agreed condition, so I asked the hotel about the matter, if they forget to put information of charge on Hotels.com, it would not be my fault, they should be responsible for their misstated amount, but hotel owner said was "that is how it is, bye" and hung up the phone (or kept silent) connection of the phone was not good either..... Hotel price is competitive and the key for decision making, and agreement should have said all the expense which is not extra when we make reservation. If additional charge will be charged, at least it should be stated on agreement. I made reservation under four persons, fee based on the number of persons is very basic matter that should be included in agreed price, but they still keep excluding extra 2 person fee, still...no change after claim... my decision making had been changed with the price of extra-fee, so price is important factor...and disappointed about the owner...

Beautiful Bed & Breakfast
We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. The home was very nice and the owners greeted us at the door. They were friendly and helpful. The room was quite comfortable and just outside the room was a sitting area with a Keurig machine, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscotti, microwave, small refrigerator and behind folding doors was a stove, counter and sink in case anyone needed/wanted to cook a meal. There was also a tv, books on Alaska, and movies. For breakfast, we entered the dining room to a beautifully set table with Royal Albert china and gold plated flatware. We were served skewered fruit, Aussie cakes, poached eggs, ham, small red beans (we've never had beans for breakfast but they went surprisingly well), English muffins with jam, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee, which was very good. While dining, the owner came out and we had a pleasant chat including the history of the house. After breakfast, we were browsing and to our surprise, a moose walked by in the front yard. We noticed another couple arrive just after us and they told the owner that they had to leave at 5:00 am for a fishing charter. She immediately said she would have breakfast to go waiting for them! A very pleasant experience! Do not hesitate to stay here!

Intimate BB
Hosts could not have been nicer, and the BB was well maintained and comfortable. It is a large home that's been configured as a BB, so the guest lounge was directly adjacent to our room, and I think a lot depends on the other guests when you stay, as always in a BB. We were a bit unlucky. The other guests the night we stayed spend the evening in the lounge a few feet from our room playing board games. Thankfully they weren't watching the TV. In the morning, we also we a bit shocked that the father in this family came to breakfast (formal table, beautifully laid) in his pyjamas, since we're not part of his family. So lovely place and lovely people, but know that it's a BB and intimate in that sense.

Why pay hotel prices - only if you need lots of room?!? For less, you can stay here, but I would recommend a car since it not located in the middle of town. The home is located in hills on the outskirts of Anchorage - quiet and peaceful. (In fact, it felt so comfortable that if I lived there, I might not be able to call it home because I wouldn't be able to dress as casually as I would like in front of all the guests.) Check out the pictures! The only thing we didn't have was regular broadcast television service - but they do have a limited DVD library that you can borrow...if you have the time to spend lying around in your room. The room we stayed in was on the small side, but all we needed was a place to bathe and sleep in.
