The room was big and clean, however the bathroom had no ventilation at all… you know what I mean. It’s terrible!! Two sinks in the bathroom were clogged during entire stay. We asked for the plumber - he never came. The food was tasty but every day the same, very-very limited selection. There is only one restaurant to which you can’t make a reservation bc online form is not working and it’s the only way to make the reservation. So only one place to eat is restaurant/buffet where half a menu not included and you have to pay. Oh, there was also sushi bar, but we are not big sushi fans, so didn’t work for us. Staff was nice, no complaints there. Overall - not worth the price at all.

I absolutely loved my time at NYX and would happily go back. The highlights for me are the staff and the beach. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. Upon arrival and check-in, the front desk noticed the following day was my girlfriends birthday. The next day when we came back to our room after breakfast, the room was decorated with balloons and Happy Birthday banners, as well as compliemntary wine and birthday cake on the table. Jhoan at the Pool Bar is the man. He greeted me every morning with a handshake and would proceed to whip me up a "Jhoan Special" which is now my new favorite cocktail. Frederico at the bar inside was also incredibly friendly and would remember my orders each night. The staff at the Beach Deck Restaurant and at the Breakfast buffet are all very friendly and quick to provide service. The meals were all fantastic and they accomodated to my dietary restrictions. The restaurants on the resort, Chianti and Umami, also featured excellent service with fine dining cuisine. Made two trips to each restaurant and loved it. Our room was clean each day as was the resort in general. The other visitors at the resort were very friendly and it was a great atmosphere. Live bands played in the lobby bar each night and were excellent. I would highly reccomend to anyone.

The first room we were given was filthy. The chair was so dirty I would not of wanted my dog to sit on it. Blood on the headboard along with other stains. No hot water in the first room. Front desk staff was very rude. Waiters never smiled or friendly. Not at all handicap friendly - 36 steps to the beach pool or very steep ramp. Food was good.

The hotel was awesome. Drinks were plentiful and the food was top notch. A romantic birthday dinner on the beach with a massage earlier in the day was the ultimate highlight of the trip and hotel
