A whole lot of money for a hotel that should have been renovated 30 years ago. At least they could fill the holes and paint the walls that are pealing apart. If you are trying to impress someone, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Nice night's sleep. Great staff.
I was too tired upon arrival to do much more than sleep. Stay was 1 night. I was comfortable in my room. Too many up and down steps to get to my room. Staff helped a lot.

Sleep on the streets of the red light district!
Without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The standard triple room at this hotel is by far the worst room, as it faces the back of the hotel facing an alley that leads straight from red-lit windows to a floor-to-ceiling window with NO soundproofing. Until 4am every night, you can clearly hear all conversations of every person on the street. We were even lucky enough to have people knocking on our window at 3am. It really feels like you are sleeping on the streets of the red light district. The room itself was run-down. The shower does not stay in "shower mode," half the water escapes from the faucet and you are left with almost no water pressure coming from the shower head. The coffee from the machine in the room is broken as well, as the coffee comes out looking more like light-brown water than actual coffee. To top it all off, the front desk staff are extremely rude, and did nothing to honor our request to change rooms and even placed the blame on me. Like most places in Amsterdam, the staff at this hotel are looking to take advantage of you and extract as much money as they can. Also, don't be fooled by their luggage storage service, your bags are placed in a public room which is easily accessed by potential thieves. Stay away.

Clean but not a good night's sleep
A great single room in general and very clean when I arrived. My only problem was that I was woken in the night by a loud metallic crash, however there was scaffolding outside of my room and the noise could have come from that. I didn't feel well rested the next morning but it was a cosy, small room.
