Having stayed at many a 4 star, I have to confess I keep coming back to Acacia Ridge Hotel Motel. In an industrial/ residential area it is popular with truckies and travelling tradies.
From the outside the motel it looks very drab, but I have found the rooms spacious, clean and with nice deep wood furnishings and professionally laundered sheets and towels.
It's how the truckies like it - good split system air-con, a cold fridge and a high pressure hot shower as well as acres of parking. You can always get a park outside your door!
Not to mention the convenience of the on-site bistro and bar which offers lunch and dinner ($10 lunch specials).
As a 53 yo woman I find an interest in the cultural learnings of truckies culture which include a free (by donation) Friday afternoon sausage sizzle which used to include a bikini girl walking around and taking drinks orders, though I'm not sure if Covid has put the kybosh on the bikini girl right now.
I feel safe there because truckies and tradies are reliable and hard-working people who'd come to your aid and are early to bed, early to rise.
