My mom and I stayed at the Shirley Retreat hotel for her birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and nice to us. They truly made our stay there extremely pleasant. The hotel room was very immaculate and cozy. These rooms have everything needed for an enjoyable stay although a small fridge could be something added in the future for an even better experience. The hotel is located in a very peaceful area with easy access to public transportation, nice restaurants, malls, shops and places for fun activities. Overall, my mom and I were extremely satisfied and we would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to visit the beautiful island of Jamaica in the future.

Loved every minute, the staff was very courteous and helpful. The location was perfect. I had breakfast and it was very good. My only regret was not realizing that there were rooms with refrigerators which I would have loved having I will be a return guest.

My only problem was the A/C directly over the bed and blowing in my face. The breakfast was real authentic Jamaican, especially the national dish... ackee and saltfish.... loved it. And -- the young female server was very polite and friendly too! Have recommended it to my friends and family. It fits what I need when I visit Kingston... location, A/C and hot water. Will definitely stay there again
