Diamond in the rough
The outside of the multi-purpose building is very dated and the local area is sadly a bit run down and obviously not very prosperous but don't be dissuaded: this hotel was extremely comfortable and clean, very well connected to the local landmarks and ideal for my visiting purposes. I was travelling solo to be an outpatient at the nearby Salford Royal Hospital, it was 15mins walk from Eccles train station to the hotel, the local bus station and tram station were 5 minutes around the corner and had excellent frequent connections to the hospital, Manchester Picadilly, and Trafford Centre. There are some charming small no nonsense cafes for a coffee or sandwich in Eccles itself, or there is an Aldi literally across the street for snadwiches and snacks. I stayed in a twin room, a bit claustraphobic for two but it would be great as a base, and was ideal for just me. The room fit looked new, comfortable and clean, spotless shower room, turned down to a high quality by housekeeping every day. There was good free wifi, good working AC, and low noise&nice view from floor 8 of the church and terrace houses. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. There was a lounge with bar and darts board in reception. Note for those with limited mobility, every even-numbered floor must be accessed by a half set of stairs from the upper or lower odd-number floor and most stairlifts I noticed were out of order, so I would check this with staff when booking to make sure your room is accessible

Good value budget hotel
We got a last minute booking at this hotel but it cost us over £130. The normal prive was around £40 which woud have been very good value for money. The room was clean but spartan and the breakfast was very good The hotel appears to have been a converted office block with some offices still present. The entrance was terrible with the hotel reception on the second floor. The staircase felt like an office block staircase. The lift worked OK but peculiarly deposited people on the stairway between floors. The corridors were noisy at night and in the early hours and the bedroom windows were filthy and overlooked poor housing on one side and an Aldi store on the other. If you are looking for a budget hotel this would be fine at the lower price but for what we paid it was a disappointment

Do not let the exterior of this hotel put you off, yes they do double as offices as well, but not on the same floors as the rooms.., ALL staff including the housekeepers are so lovely and helpful. 24 hour security on entry. Room is spacious and clean with a big bathroom, 2 showerheads - rainforest and normal shower. Only thing I would add is thicker pillows on the bed as mattresses was really thick, and pillows pretty thin so you could not prop up to watch a bit of TV. On site bar open till 1am, serving food till 9pm (didn't try but what we seen coming out looked lovely) and bar snacks (toasties) till 10pm. Big Aldi across road, so u can grab pre drinks or snacks if you want. Morrison's about 5-6 min walk away, you will also find some local pubs and weatherspoons, as well as Trams to town/Trafford centre and buses. If you are getting a taxi to the city centre be aware that it will cost you around £20 + each way. Didn't have brekkie at the hotel, but if you book it night before with hotel reception its cheaper - 6.99 rather than 9.99 on the day. WIll defo be going back to this hotel again as such value for money. Oh free on site parking too, so bonus!!!!

Exceptional 10.0
Very comfortable room. Great shower room. Very comfortable beds. Clean and airy with air conditioning. All the staff we dealt with were very courteous, polite and helpful. The outside and surrounding area didn't look like much. Just an office building. However, the room was cexcellent. I have and will continue to spread the wordcthat this was the best weekend stay ive ever had in Manchester. The restaurant was clean and the food was very reasonable and what we had was excellent both in taste and presentation. Would definitely go back there. The price thriugh Expedia was the best price we ever paid and the quality was next to none. 😊

Does the job, clean and nice staff.
The room itself was clean and served its purpose. Had everything we needed. Working with a colleague we had a twin room and we found it slightly small but not so much that we felt cramped. For a cheap room it was fine. Everything was clean and in good order. The reception staff were lovely. You need to drive to get to anywhere, so it really is just a place to rest your head but for what we wanted and the closeness to where we wanted to be, you can't go wrong. I have booked for the next time Im working so can't have been bad. I look for reasonably priced hotels and for the price, its fine. The set up is strange as you have to go through a separate reception to get to the main reception but it doesn't affect the stay at all. Found I could park my car easily and it was free of charge. The only negative was as I work nights and didn't get in until 6am I would have liked a late check out as the checkout is 11am, this was not possible though and with people getting up early and babies crying etc I barely got any sleep.
