Hotel Palma Royale

Great location. Walking distance from restaurants and tour guided boats. I would just suggest not to stay in the 1st floor because the shower does not have a wall to separate the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. Due to the wall not being there, the entire bathroom floor and toilet gets wet.

It was so nice to enjoy a bit of luxery when traveling economicaly. We went to another island and were so dissapointed we went back for the last night

The view from my fourth floor balcony was great. The hotel is located only steps away from Bocas Divers, a real plus when you have to carry your scuba gear. They request that you turn in your key whenever you leave the property. Some might find this annoying, but the front desk is adjacent to the stairs and elevator so I found it quite helpful since I have a propensity to misplace keys. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Penthouse Suite and the prior reviews were spot on. However, we never heard the trucks. The walls are pretty insulated. I did find it odd that we had to turn in our keys everytime we left the room so we had to take all of our valuables with us everytime but the suite was perfect and beautiful and just what we needed for all of us. Breakfast was awesome.

All of the staff were very polite and helpful. I ended up upgrading my room to a upstairs room. I traveled alone to Bocas and just felt safer with a room upstairs.

Simple thing to replace a lightbulb over a very dark door, isn't it? Could not see to get the key in, yup phone flashlight. Please just change the bulb and I would have been happier. Plus, electric plug in bathroom didn't work, it's on the list to fix sometime down the road with the door bulb. Internet was too weak to use in room. The town had little to do. Very humid and hot weather. Taking a boat to a beach everyday was boring. All tours went to essentislly the same places and held you hostage to buy lunch on a platform in the water. Not going back.

Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful front desk attendants. Breakfast was ok, not exciting. This is expensive hotel. We chose it because Hotel has elevator

We stayed in a standard room on the lower level. Room had everything we needed. Mini fridge, endless supply of bottled water, coffee beans/grinder, clothes line, tv, Ac. Staff was always friendly and even dried our beach towels for us on several occasions. Included breakfast was very good. Although the patio had no view it was nice sitting outside.

I paid my entire hotel reservation on the website but when I arrived they asked me to pay the other half for hotel policy, because they only charged the half, but I forgot my visa , the staff is not geared towards customer service. In the suite there are few kitchen utensils. I have gone one previous time but I will not go back

Bocas del Toro is a great cultural experience. There’s great variety of activities and destinations very close.
