We were hoping to get a room on the hill but we ended up next to the lobby in room 7 which was a bit disappointing. This room was very dusty and one of the night stands was not clean. And the pool was filthy. Cloudy water. Other than that this is a very nice resort. Convenient location. Great restaurants and wineries all very close!

They charged extra for additional person, but they just give you a smal cot in really bad shape, the room was not clean, dust all over even on top of the coffee maker, shower curtains had yellow on the bottom. If you try to contact hotel directly they never answer. Everything was bad, pool was really dirty too, with extention cords around it, how dangerous is that.

Nice but needs more personnel.
The hotel is nice, location is great and room was very clean. Unfortunately the receptionist was not there when we arrived. Someone else gave us access to our room, she came after 10pm to give the room key. Breakfast is included but on Sunday nobody was there to provide food.

Great views and a good value
This is a beautiful area and the grounds around the hotel are gorgeous. The rooms are rustic without many amenities but the views make it worthwhile. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there are several good vineyards and tasting areas in the immediate area. The breakfast served was simple and not especially impressive, but the overall vibe is really nice and it is a very enjoyable stay for the price.

Quiet with beautiful views of the valley
The hotel is a boutique hotel that offers quiet and beautiful views. The only difficulty was finding it! Part of that was my fault - assumed that I'd be able to use Google maps. Even when I did get internet access, all I could find was Hotel Boutique not Hotel Valentino. It turns out that they are across the street from each other. A call to Valentino was what finally got me going in the right direction. Overall, the stay was great.

Our room was adorable. Perfect for a couples get away. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the room was nice. The only issue we had was it was cold. We happened to arrive on a very cold rainy weekend. The rooms do not have regular heating and there was a space heater in the room. It was extremely cold in our room most of the time and the floors felt like ice! Happy I had a good snuggle partner as my travel companion.

felt like we owned the place
this is a very nice resort with great views of the mountains, sunsets, and the Guadalupe valley. if you are looking to be secluded with piece and quite this is the place for you. staff is very friendly and helpful but not always around so it feels like you own the place, except for Luna the cat who thinks she owns the place. you get free access to the common areas including the large living room with TV and full size kitchen, you can use and eat whatever you want. best part is you don't have to wash your own dishes as the staff will take care of it for you. :) near by a very nice restaurant called Fuego with views and very good food. the duck tacos were to die for and don't miss out on the tuna burritos , so good. a pool is under construction so next time will enjoy that. short drive to all the local wineries as well. great place to stay.

Nice hotel, fantastic service.
A nice, well appointed hotel in the heart of wine country. While the rooms may be a bit small, the hotel itself is very charming and the service is fantastic. A special thanks to Gorge for all his help in arranging transportation and recommending wineries. We will be back.

Beautiful location
The place is very nice. Super friendly and a great location for touring vineyards. Views from the rooms are amazing. Only downsides were that the room got very cold at night and the breakfast was a bit Spartanfor the price.
