Because the hotel was at a more reasonable price than other 3 start in the area, I expected there to be some problems...but everything was lovely. Nice clean comfortable room with interesting plumbing type arty fixtures. Very good and very friendly service particularly from Laura on reception who was very kind when I left my phone plug after checking out

Great hotel
I enjoyed my stay at the Albert Hotel. The immediate area was clean and had a bunch of upscale shops and restaurants. There are several bus and tram stops within 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel that can bring you to where you need to go in the city. Bikes are also available for rent. Service is attentive as well.

The central heating radiator in our room could not be turned off resulting in the room being absolutely red hot during the night and day. The shower flooded the bathroom floor and we had to ask for extra towels to mop up the water in the bathroom. This was just due to the waste water from the shower not being contained in the shower cubicle and this must be a problem for all guests who use this shower - when i complained to the receptionist she just gave me more towels and did not wish to send someone to view the problem - very bad service.

the janitor staff knocked at our door at 10am to ask whether we need room make up service or not, she claimed that she has finished all her work already. another one woke us the next day saying it's time to check out, which still had an hour to go actually. the room is a bit small, but still acceptable.

Great location- safe, easy access to transit, museums, restaurants, shops and supermarket. Nothing fancy but if you are looking for an economical place to stay, this fits the bill. Pleasant staff. Quadruple room cramped-- bathroom vanity too small; things continually falling off bathroom vanity because it is too; Bed sheets were not changed daily. Unpleasant odour in hallways.
