Amazing hotel with Kitchenette in Central !
This newly renovated hotel in Central Hong Kong was superb ! The staff was extremely helpful ,friendly and polite. The room, with a magnificent view of Central, was so clean and comfortable with a small kitchenette in which we could cook simple meals for our food allergic daughter. There is a clean and modern grocery store just across the street from hotel entrance where we could purchase many items we were familiar with from the US. The hotels's location was very convenient. One could easily walk down to Central , Hong Kong park, many shops and restaurants... though it is a steep walk back up to the hotel. Cabs are easily accessible at the hotel entrance and also very affordable. Additionally , there is a complimentary shuttle bus from the hotel entrance to a couple of spots in Central Hong Kong for a few hours each morning and afternoon. There is an excellent , generous and reasonably priced buffet served at the hotel each morning which we enjoyed as it filled us up for a long day of sightseeing. I would most highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Central Hong Kong particularly if they wanted a little kitchenette for some food preparations on their own.

Go Elsewhere! Bad rooms, bad service
I seldom write negative reviews and am wary of those who do. I will keep this brief +hopefully my experience can help a fellow traveler. I was not provided an option of booking a renovated room. I booked a Junior suite for three people. When I arrived, I was given a cold, damp and musty smelling room with peeling wall paper, and a roll away bed in the middle of the living room that was so thin you could feel the springs with your hand! How was anyone expected to sleep on this?! The only option I was provided by mgmt after 33 hours of travel with two senior citizens in tow and a two hour delay in getting a room, was to “upgrade” to a deluxe suite for an ADDITIONAL cost! They had no other rooms available at the time, so what choice did I have? I was tired and had prepaid. This new room was moderately better. A space heater was provided as there is no central heat despite cold weather in HK. The sofa was stained (photos) so we put a sheet over it so we could sit on it. The toilet had a red stain on the seat, which I assumed is blood, and I wiped it with a Clorox wipe (could not bear to stop and take photos of that, sorry). Not exactly 4 stars or “wonderful” per Expedia ratings. The hotel’s excuse for this was that the room was not renovated. That doesn’t mean that it should be cold, musty, or dirty or have a bed not fit for habitation! Only saving grace was doormen especially Mr. Fei who was helpful and cheerfully greeted us each day. Location not bad; $5 taxi to Central area.

Nice place at budget rates
Checking in was quick but there was no information on local area events or tours. Room was a Jr. suite which had a nice living room with kitchenette. It was okay with nice rate for the city.Free wifi. Close but steep walk to the Peak tram. Hotel is close to the city, as the crow flies that is. This place is near the bottom of a hill so nothing is an easy walk. They do have a shuttle that goes to the central part of the city & the wonderful IFC mall. I used their convenient laundry facilities. Not impressed with the food at their restaurant or the prices or the selections. Staff ranged from very helpful to unconcerned. I used Uber & taxis a lot. For the price it was nice but the actual feel was closer to what I can only compare to a motel

Friendly stay
Enjoyed our stay as a whole but the room was a bit disappointing. We were a couple and the standard room had a kitchenette but only one dining chair and only one bedside chair. It did have a window seat area but for 2 people to eat not any more comfortable than a hotel room! It only had a hot water pot but no coffee maker nor coffee packs nor tea bags. At least on the first day that would be nice to get started with! However the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The overall atmosphere was calm and stress free. The on-site restaurant and bar was ok but a bit expensive for what it offers. A supermarket is nearby which was helpful. Our room overlooked the park next door and we could enjoy nice walks. We like it and would stay again but in a bigger room .

A Good Place to stay
Our stay here was for 4 nights on our way to New Zealand. We arrived very early but were able to check in as there was a room available. All the staff were very pleasant and tried to help with any questions. The room was a good size with a kitchenette. A plus for me as I like endless cups of tea and we could buy food for breakfast etc. There is a supermarket just across the road and we also got a takeaway from the restaurant on the 7th floor of the building where the supermarket is. There is a free shuttle from the hotel down to Hong Kong station. Just a few minutes walk will get you to the Botanical Gardens, Hong Kong park and the Peak Tram, from where you can pick up the Hop On, Hop Off bus for the red and green routes. Definitely a good place to stay and I would recommend. My only gripe being the stupid step going into the bathroom which I hit my foot on quite a few times, especially at night. Other than that it was all good.
