Highly recommend this place!
Pros: 1. Friendly and helpful staff. The housekeeping staff even offered me an umbrella on the day that it was pouring outside. I did not need it since I always travel prepared but nice gesture. 2. Great location -- the hotel is close to at least three train stations and two different Tokyo metro lines. It's also on the Asakasa Line which goes to both airports in Tokyo and has elevators connecting the platform and the ground level. 3. Room card controlled elevator. You can't use the elevator if you are not guest. 4. There are vending machines and microwaves on the 1st floor for late night munches, but there is also a convenient store only 2 blocks away and plenty others nearby. 5. The room is clean and comes with basic supplies like Shiseido shampoo/conditioner/body wash set, toothbrush and bathroom cap. 6. Don't know if this is a standard Japanese thing but they provide you a bathrobe, too. 7. The room is small but compact. Space was never a problem during my stay because the room is well-designed. 8. It is very affordable considering the location and the quality. Cons: 1. The balcony right outside the room can be a bit scary for people who's scared of heights. I lived on the top floor (12F) and was a bit concerned also because the aisle between the doors and the balcony is narrow. 2. The toilet flush can be improved.

Nice place. Good location.
Room was nice and clean. Bed was narrow not really for two adults. It was not even the size of a double north American bed. Just a wider twin. Besides that everything was Ok.

Exceptional 10.0
Larger than average room, with friendly staff.
The staff was very on point. Super friendly and seemed to have decent English proficiency (though I lived in Tokyo for 4 years, which means I have the Japanese ability and knowledge to not find it necessary to test their skills). Though the front desk area is small, there were always at least 2 staff present and ready to help. The building feels as though it may have previously been apartments. The rooms, while not as large as many western hotels, are much more spacious than the average tiny Japanese hotel. Lots of storage as well, so you could really unpack and feel comfortable on a longer stay. On the other hand, the bathroom was actually even smaller than usual. It also has external (outdoor) hallways), which some people may dislike; though in Japan, even in urban areas, it is quiet and safe, so there is really nothing bad about this. The local area is not too exciting, but if you're willing to walk a little, the area around Kanda station has a great selection of restaurants and bars. The Hibiya line is also nearby, which is excellent for getting to some of the major sightseeing locations on the eastern side of Tokyo (Akihabara, 1 stop away; Ueno, 3 stops). Several other stations/lines are also walkable distance from the hotel. For the price (which was quite low), I was extremely happy with my stay.

Exceptional 10.0
Basic hotel with a great location
Great location in the middle of several subway stations within 5-15 minutes walk. The hotel had kind and professional staff members that spoke English and the rooms were kept very tidy. I've traveled through Japan several times and am used to the small space of the rooms and bathrooms, so I had no issues with the fact that space was more cramped versus traditional Westernized hotels. Honestly, I felt the hotel room was actually spacious compared to other places I have stayed.

I enjoyed my stay
The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet and clean part of town and It's a very short walk to multiple train stations. The room was nice and clean. I traveled by myself and the room had everything that I needed. A big plus for me was that it didn't take long to travel to many local areas like Akihabara, Shibuya, Shinjuku or Asakusa.
