Overall good!

Nice stay. Place is a little dated but I’d read reviews before saying it was so expected it. Which didn’t leave me disappointed. Room Was warm and the pool is lovely. Great place to stay and good value for money. Golf course views are lovely too. And food is good in the restaurant!

Dated and tired

The room was severely dated & had a number of issues that need rectifying. The carpet was covered in stains and all the desk & bedside cabinets were covered in dust. In the bathroom when you turned the shower on it sprayed out everywhere despite having a shower curtain. Additionally there was a heated towel rail which had wires coming out of the wall which were also getting absolutely soaked when you turned on the shower. The beds were comfy enough but as they were two single beds pushed together we kept falling down between them throughout the night meaning neither myself or my partner got a good night's sleep. We explained this to the member of staff on the front desk who quite rudely interrupted us and explained that we should have come down when we arrived to mention the issues (we had a lot of things to do that afternoon & had to drop our bags and leave) Paid £70 for the room and really don't think this cost is in line with the quality of the room and feel that this shouldn't have been more than £45 per night... Regret not just using the premier Inn up the road near long water for £10 more

Let down by old decor & fittings

Good value for money but more for a basic nights stay if you are there for golf but not for any luxury. Very dated interior & decor throughout room & accommodation block. Room overall clean but not spotless visible dust in places. Carpet, wardrobe/draws could do with updating as very old not stylish. Bathroom - the power of shower was good but shower basic in that water is boiling or freezing initially due to tap setup. Bathroom suite very old 60s feel. Wifi/signal poor so worth baring in mind. Mini sized basic TV. Look of the carpet made me not want to take my socks off. Breakfast low cost, lovely tea, full English quite small though but just about enough & reflected low price. Service & staff lovely & faultless. With the very much needed renovations could be great but as it stands wouldn't return. Noisy & lacked any class or luxury for a hotel.
