Regin Hotel

‘‘This run down hotel serves as a flop house - you can pay by the hour. The place is a dump, with mold on the walls and should be torn down. Very small rooms, thin walls and doors so you hear everything from the corridor. We did not feel safe so we left. The hotel is on a very busy street in the red light district. The taxi driver joked “this is the place where the good, the bad, the sinful and the holy meet”. They would not let us cancel our room or offered us a partial refund, so we lost 100$ USD. We booked a different hotel and we are disappointed with hotels.com that such places are not black listed. I hope you guys don’t do the same mistake.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. 1. No hot water, have to take cold shower. 2. Saw cockroach in the bathroom. 3. I have to buy a $15 socket adapter(not provided fo guests)from the front desk to be able to charge my cellphone. 4. This hotel has hourly rates for accommodation for pleasure seeker guests (redlight district). 5. Smell of cigarette smoke is all over, I requested a non-smoking the next day , the lady in the front desk told me there’s non available and told me to open the room windows to get rid of the smell. That evening I decided to checkout. I stayed one night out of four fully paid nights. I don’t know what is my recourse for refunds for the 3 nights I didn’t used.

Was greeted by a cockroach. Window view was of other hotel rooms. Everything else was great, especially the guy working at night - really nice guy. I just don't expect a cockroach in a place like this. Also, this used to be a prime prostitution spot, and even though prostitution isn't as big anymore in Singapore, they've kept the hourly hotel room rates.

Stayed at this hotel only for a night, last minute booking. They couldn't find our booking because we booked it too late, so it took a while to check-in. It took about 30-45 minutes of waiting, and we just wanted to sleep after a long day. When arriving to the room it was pretty dirty, it smelled like alcohol and cigarettes. Luckily it was only for 1 night, but would not stay here again.
