MET A Space Pod @ Boat Quay

The pods are something different and good for a once in a lifetime experience. Still it's a hostel and your shearing you room with 7 other people. Take earplugs 😉 the bathroom was clean and the shower was really good. You'll meet lots of nice people while having breakfast upstairs. The location is very good to do all the tourist things. The restaurants at the front are very expensive.

Great spot for the price.

Pro: Clean Pod, Location, Towel Supply, Price Con: Dirty Bathroom Area, Untidy, No common area for migling, Zero Knowledge/Information about Local Areas Unless the lodging rate is much cheaper than other hostels around this location, I will not return here next time.

The staff were really nice but was really disappointed in everything. The pods were just too hot to sleep in. The room was nice and cool but inside the pod there was too little circulation.

The music from the bar below was very loud and went on every night until 02:30

I thought the capsule hotel was nice. Perfect for one night. I just wish there was more privacy aside from a pull down shade. The late check in process was a little complicated as it was dark and hard to see which capsule was mine. The location was perfect and close to everything.

It’s very plasticky and every movement is loud inside. Not practical and surely doesn’t feel like a space POD. TV doesn’t work

The idea was cool, but overpriced for a hostel. In addition, the hygiene was... less than satisfactory. The pods smelled musty. There were yellow stains on the bottoms of the blue pod shutters. There was a blood stain (albeit tiny) on my blanket. Floors near the corners were filthy. Next, there is no elevator. The highest floor in at least 3 stories up, and the hallways are narrow. It is a struggle to carry luggage up. Finally, there were many hooks to hang up towels/clothing etc near the pods. However, they were all grouped together, so towels can get mixed up. There were not enough hooks in the showers. After hanging your towel on the single hook, there is nowhere to hang your change of clothes/toiletries bag etc. The only upside is that the staff seem very friendly. But this does not offset the rest of the issues.

Neat experience! As far as hostels go, this is a great one. For our Singapore weekend, we sorta wish that we got a hotel room instead, but the Space Pod did everything it promised and we saved a good amount of money. I recommend it if the price point is right for you!
